    Abstract: An edge mounted LED light includes an LED chip having an LED chip first terminal and an LED chip second terminal. A layer assembly has conduction layers, namely a first conduction layer and a second conduction layer that sandwich an insulation layer between them. The first conduction layer and the second conduction layer are made of metal having thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. An edge of the layer assembly includes a first conduction layer mounting surface formed on the first conduction layer, and a second conduction layer mounting surface formed on the second conduction layer. The insulation layer is located between the first conduction layer mounting surface and the second conduction layer mounting surface. An LED chip first terminal is formed on the LED chip, and an LED chip second terminal is formed on the LED chip.

    Abstract: A ballast locking tab system has a first shell having a first shell horizontal portion and a first shell vertical portion connecting to the first shell horizontal portion. The first shell is made of a first sheet of metal. A main tab is formed on the first shell. The main tab is formed between a pair of guiding slots, and the main tab is pointing away from the first shell horizontal portion. The slot panel is displaced from the second shell vertical portion to form a slot panel opening sized to receive the main tab.

    Abstract: A lamp ballast is provided for attachment to a fluorescent lamp fixture. The ballast is adapted to a direct low profile mounting on a junction box of the lamp fixture by a varying degree of recessed positioning. The ballast has a built-in niche for the recessed mounting and comprises a ballast circuit on a board; a package for enclosing the circuit board save electric wires from and to the ballast circuit at multiple sides including a top surface, bottom surface and sidewalls extending between the top and bottom surfaces; and a flange extending from the sidewalls of the package at a predetermined level between the top and bottom surfaces. Thus, the flange acts as a mounting bracket of the ballast for a varied degree of recessed mounting of the ballast on the lamp fixture.

The present invention utilizes a length contraction occurred to the shape memory alloy component during its phase transformation from martensite to austenite. The length contraction causes a slider, a carrier and a base to move relatively. Also, the present invention utilizes thermal conductivity of the base to speed up heat dissipation of the shape memory alloy component, so that response time for actuating the carrier can be reduced.
