Abstract:
An entrapment detection device of an opening/closing member which efficiently performs an entrapment determination and restrains an entrapment load even when a motor rotational signal is not inputted. The entrapment detection device includes a controller for performing the entrapment detection based on detected motor rotational signal cycle changes outputted from a motor rotation sensor which is synchronized with the movement of a motor for actuating an opening/closing member. The controller stores the cycle changes of a predetermined number of output pulses from the sensor, predetermines a standard cycle time Tb from the stored pulse output, and calculates a cycle coefficient of the entrapment. When the motor rotational speed is reduced, an entrapment detection operation is performed by comparing a value of time from a previous cycle change to a current cycle change multiplied by the calculated cycle coefficient with the standard cycle Tb.
Abstract:
It is intended to obtain outputs of insert sheets suitable for an inserter without delay. Thus, it is controlled to sort sheets on which pages of an image, being the print object in a mode to output the sheets to be set to an inserter provided in another apparatus having such the inserter, of first type in a series of images having plural pages were formed respectively, on the basis of information based on the inserter provided in the another apparatus.
Abstract:
Image forming apparatus connected to a sheet processing apparatus which applies sheet processing such as stapling to a sheet formed image by the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus includes an input terminal for inputting image forming job, an image forming unit for forming an image on a sheet in accordance with the image forming job inputted by the input terminal, a discriminator for discriminating if a first image forming job does not include sheet processing whereas a second and subsequent image forming job includes sheet processing, and a controller for instructing the sheet processing apparatus to perform a preparatory operation for he second image forming job during the first image forming job in accordance with a discrimination result, such as by moving a staple unit to designated position for the second image forming job.
Abstract:
Conveyance of a sheet is controlled based on a detected skew amount of a conveyed sheet and a result of determination on whether an operation mode set through an operation console is a punching mode or not, thus protecting a user from spending extra time and efforts and extra cost in the event that a sheet skews.
Abstract:
In an image formation system which includes a finisher with an inserter having a tray for stacking a specific sheet on which an image such as a cover image was formed, and an image formation apparatus, a series of originals composed of plural pages is read from its first page in order, the image based on the read original is formed on the sheet, the sheet stacked on the inserter is fed, the sheet from the inserter is reversed to set its image-formed face facedown, and the sheet from a printer unit is reversed to set its image-formed face facedown. The sheet, the image-formed face of which was reversed facedown, is discharged from the printer unit to the finisher and, on the finisher, the sheet from the inserter is stacked as keeping its image-formed face facedown and the sheet from the printer unit is stacked as keeping its image-formed face facedown.
Abstract:
A CPU circuit unit of a copying machine judges based on image data read by a reading unit whether or not the image data represents a color image, and controls according to the judged result whether or not image forming of the image data is to be performed, whereby an operation to be performed by a user when plural originals mixedly including color originals and black/white originals are copied can be simplified.
Abstract:
In an IDCT circuit, a first RAC and a second RAC each have a ROM for sequentially generating a plurality of partial products and an accumulator for performing a digit-adjustment accumulation of the generated partial products while truncating the LSB of an intermediate accumulation result for every cycle. The first RAC further has a carry bit generator for holding a carry bit of one cycle before and for generating a carry bit of a current cycle by performing a majority arithmetic operation of the LSB of an intermediate accumulation result of the first RAC, the LSB of an intermediate accumulation result of the second RAC and the one-cycle-before carry bit. The second RAC further has a borrow bit generator for holding a borrow bit of one cycle before and for generating a borrow bit of a current cycle by performing a majority arithmetic operation of the LSB of an intermediate accumulation result of the first RAC, an inverted bit of the LSB of an intermediate accumulation result of the second RAC and the one-cycle-before borrow bit. A final accumulation result of the first RAC, a final accumulation result of the second RAC, a final carry bit and a final borrow bit are used in butterfly arithmetic operations.
Abstract:
A flush pot assembly having a pot which is concealed when it is not being used. The pot can be easily accessed for use and washed with washing water after use even by a disabled person or a hospital patient. The flush pot assembly includes a pot connected to a flexible drain hose for passing washing water. The pot is provided such that it is integral with a back surface of a door. The door can be opened and closed and constitutes part of one side of a room. The flexible drain hose is connected between the pot and a drain pipe which leads to the outside of the room. The pot is moved into the room by opening the door and is accommodated in a space outside the room by closing the door.
Abstract:
There is provided an image forming system that are capable of preventing a user or operator from forgetting to carry out a maintenance operation based on required sub-maintenance items after execution of a maintenance operation based on an associated maintenance item, such as component replacement, cleaning, or adjustment. A table of maintenance items and sub-maintenance items associated with respective ones of the maintenance items is stored in a ROM. When a CPU determines that a maintenance operation based on a selected one of the maintenance items has been completed, the CPU determines whether or not there is any sub-maintenance item associated with the selected maintenance item, by referring to the table. When it is determined that there is one or more sub-maintenance items associated with the selected maintenance item, a CPU provides control to display the sub-maintenance item or items in an operating/display unit.
