Feature points are extracted from an image of a plurality of frames. A blurring direction component of a previous frame image is judged from motion vectors of the next frame image acquired with reference to feature points of the extracted previous frame image. Images of the same blurring direction are selected and grouped from the image of a plurality of frames based on that judgment result. After performing position compensation, an additive composite of a grouped composite image is created for each group so that feature points conform to grouped images. Subsequently, inverse transform filter processing is applied to the grouped composite image data and hand shake compensation by group is accomplished which compensates the blurring direction component matched to a group. Upon position compensation, an additive composite is generated of a hand shake compensated image so that feature points of each grouped composite image conform to hand shake compensation.

The output of one of the accelerometers is also monitored in a manner to determine the frequency of the vibration. This data is processed in a manner to ascertain the timing when the phases of a vertical spring input (produced by the compression of an elastomeric member which defines the main spring of the damper) and an expansion spring input (produced the displacement of rheopetic fluid between first and second variable volume chamber and the associated expansion characeristics of the members defining the same) are reversed. Using this data and the vibration frequency data the timing with which a voltage should be applied to electrodes disposed in an orifice interposed between the first and second chambers to increase the viscosity of the rheopetic fluid and increase the flow resistance of the orifice. The device further includes a perforate suspended mass which is tuned in a manner to act as a dynamic damper.

A suspension system consists of a suspension rod interposed between a vehicle body side member and a wheel side member to elastically connect them. The suspension rod includes a first elastomeric member connected to the vehicle body side member and defining a first fluid chamber. A second elastomeric member is provided in the suspension rod structure to be connected to the wheel side member, defining a second fluid chamber. The first and second fluid chambers are communicated with each other through a fluid communication passage. An incompressive fluid is filled in the first and second fluid chambers and in the fluid communication passage, thereby constituting a fluid dynamic damper for suppressing resonance vibration of the suspension system.
