摘要: A computerized pattern generating system for producing a knit or a woven pattern has been found. Any desired pattern can be obtained without drafting a picture. The system has at least a digital memory and an arithmetic unit. On the digital memory, each color of a knit pattern corresponds to binary digital 00, 01, 10 or 11. Said digital information is automatically created by using the arithmetic unit, and is further modified according to the desired pattern. The pattern on the digital memory is applied to a fabric-making machine through a punched paper tape, a direct communication line, or any magnetic storage means.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an electrolyte membrane that suppresses swelling and shrinkage caused by water retained in the electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell, improves the durability of the electrolyte membrane, and obtains excellent power generation characteristics with a low resistance. The electrolyte membrane for a solid polymer-type fuel cell includes, as a reinforcing membrane, a nonwoven fabric composed of an electrolyte material and PVDF bicomponent fibers 2a, thereby improving the durability of the electrolyte membrane. Furthermore, the bicomponent fiber 2a has pores 23 that can effectively retain generated water, thereby improving battery performance under the condition of a low humidity.

摘要: The invention is a method for pulling a silicon single crystal, which is a Czochralski method for growing the silicon single crystal by contacting a seed crystal with a melt and by pulling up, including the steps of: contacting the seed crystal with the melt; forming a necking portion under the seed crystal; and forming the silicon single crystal under the necking portion by increasing a diameter, wherein a pulling rate during forming the necking portion is 2 mm/min or less, and the silicon single crystal with the increased diameter is a boron-doped silicon single crystal having a resistivity of 1.5 mΩ·cm or less at a shoulder portion. Therefore, there can be provided a method of pulling a silicon single crystal without generating defects such as scratches at a wafer surface in the case of processing a boron-doped silicon single crystal ingot with a low resistivity produced by CZ method into a wafer.

摘要: An apparatus for creating an ICC profile in a simple manner without using a specialized measuring instrument. A display control unit reads out a dot pattern image from a pattern image data holding unit and a grayscale pattern image containing a plurality of grayscale patches of gradually varying gray scale from a grayscale image data holding unit, and presents the thus readout images for display on a display device. A user selects the grayscale patch having brightness closest to the brightness of the dot pattern image by operating a selection unit. Based on the selection, a gamma coefficient value is calculated by a gamma coefficient value calculation unit, and based on this gamma coefficient value, a profile creation unit modifies the ICC profile held in a common information holding unit and thus creates a customized ICC profile.

摘要: A plurality of processes executed on an operating system of a computer are monitored, the correspondence relations between each process and pieces of information processed by each process are registered in a process management table. Then, the relations between the pieces of information are extracted by analyzing what processes have been executed between the pieces of information of each process by referring to the result of the monitoring of the processes and to the process management table. The extracted relations between the pieces of information are registered into an attribute information table created for each piece of information of each process. A plural pieces of related information are displayed in a related information list based on the attribute information table of certain information being processed and pieces of related information selected in the list are accessed.

摘要: A resin composition for wet friction materials contains as a main component a phenolic resin formed as a result of the reaction between phenols and aldehydes in the presence of a basic catalyst, and a particulate filler having a specific surface area of 35 to 410 m2/g as an additive. A wet friction material is formed using the resin composition for wet friction materials described above as a binder. The thus formed wet friction material exhibits a small initial rate of change in friction coefficient, a large positive gradient of &Dgr;&mgr;-V characteristic, and excellent durability.

摘要: Provided are a plug that makes it possible to readily connect a power supply such as a solar battery or fuel cell to an external load or system power and to enhance safety, as well as a power converter and power generating apparatus having the plug. The plug has a movable insulating member for covering the plug electrodes when the plug is connected to an outlet and for exposing the electrodes when the plug is not connected to the outlet. In another example of the plug, the plug has at least two electrodes and switches corresponding to respective ones of the electrodes, wherein the switches are opened (turned off) when the plug is pulled out of the outlet. In still another example of the plug, the plug has at least two electrodes and a switch that is opened/closed in dependence upon the state of the connection between the electrodes and the outlet. When the plug is connected to the outlet, the switch is closed (turned on) to thereby sense the fact that the plug has been connected to the outlet.
