摘要: The disclosure provides for systems that generate random strings of objects corresponding to elements of a login code. The disclosure also provides for methods for training individuals in remembering the elements of the login code. Those login code elements, in certain embodiments, are taught to its user by way of a puzzle or game-like environment. That game-like environment, in one embodiment, does not require the use of language-based instructions, which make learning the elements of the login code simple and easy for a wide range and variety of persons. In addition, the login code elements are taught to its user, in certain embodiments, by way of a multi-staged training process, wherein each stage includes a plurality of training sessions. Those training sessions may use a process of spatial and visual recognition. That process may help assist a login code user to remember the elements of the code even if the login code is only periodically used.

摘要: A drive carrier for computer systems. At least some of the illustrative embodiments are drive carriers comprising a first suspension member that defines a first side of the drive carrier, a second suspension member that defines a second side of the drive carrier (the second suspension member configured to be manually flexed resiliently away from the drive carrier during installation of a disk drive), a handle having a hinge point coupled to the suspension members (the hinge point defining an axis of rotation for the handle, and the axis of rotation lies substantially parallel to a plane in which both suspension members reside), a first pin configured to couple to a mounting hole of the disk drive (and the first pin coupled to the first suspension member), and a second pin configured to couple to a mounting hole of the disk drive (and the second pin coupled to the second suspension member, wherein the first and second pins suspend the disk drive within the drive carrier between the suspension members).

摘要: Authentication credentials from legacy applications are translated to Kerberos authentication requests. Authentication credentials from the legacy application are directed to an authentication proxy module. The authentication proxy module acts as a credential translator for the application by receiving a set of credentials such as a user name and password, then managing the process of authenticating to a Kerberos server and obtaining services from one or more Kerberized applications, including Kerberos session encryption. A credential binding module associates a user corresponding to authentication credentials from a legacy authentication protocol with one or more Kerberos credentials. Anonymous authentication credentials may be translated to authentication requests for a network directory services object, such as a computer object or service object.

摘要: A system and method for processing prepaid financial transactions. The system and method describe the utilization of one or more remote terminals that are adapted to acquire transaction information from a user and transmit a first signal indicative of the transaction information. The remote terminal is further adapted to receive a second signal indicative of authorizing information that is delivered to the user. In addition, an authorizing host is adapted to receive the first signal transmitted by the one or more remote terminals. In one aspect, the authorizing host routes the first signal including the transaction information to an exchange host for approval of the financial transaction, and the exchange host transmits the second signal including the authorizing information to the remote terminal via the authorizing host.

摘要: An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for managing policies on a computer having a foreign operating system. Policies may specify hardware or software configuration information. Policies on a first computer with a native operating system are translated into configuration information usable on a second computer having a foreign operating system. In an embodiment, a translator manager manages the association between the policy on the first computer and the translator on the second computer. Computer management complexity and information technology management costs are reduced by centralizing computer management on the native operating system. Further reductions in management complexity are realized when the present invention is used in conjunction with network directory services.
