    摘要: A head chip of a magnetic head is produced by a method in which magnetic core half blocks, each having plural track width delimiting grooves on its major surface and having a magnetic metal film of a soft magnetic metal material formed on the major surface, are abutted to each other with a gap material in-between to form a magnetic head block which is then sliced to give plural head chips for the magnetic head. Each track width delimiting groove is polygonally-shaped in cross-section and has at least two bends. This enables suppression of cracks of exfoliation of the magnetic metal film otherwise caused in the magnetic core during its fabrication to improve product yield and operational reliability.

    摘要: A treating method for imparting hydrophilic property to the surface of a hydrophobic polymer substrate comprising the step of: contacting the surface of the polymer substrate having carbon atoms bonded with a single hydrogen atom in the molecule with a radically polymerizable compound and then irradiating actinic rays to the polymer substrate coated with the polymerizable compound. The homopolymer of the above polymerizable compound is soluble and/or swellable in water or in electrolytic solutions. If desired, the polymerizable compound may be mixed with a triplet state sensitizer having triplet state energy of 50 Kcal/mol or more or photosensitizer which produces free radicals by irradiation.

    摘要: The surface light emitting device includes an organic EL element, a protection substrate, a protection part, and a light extraction structure part. The element has a first face and a second face opposite to the first face, and emits light from the first face. The substrate has transparency for light emitted from the element, and is placed facing the first face, and has a primary surface facing the first face of the element. The protection part is placed facing the second face of the element, and constitutes a housing in combination with the substrate and accommodates the element so as to protect the element from water. The structure part is interposed between the first face of the element and the substrate, and suppresses reflection of light emitted from the element on at least one of the first face of the element and the primary surface of the substrate.

A preference operation history managing unit generates history information of an operation relating to a preference for a content according to a plurality of operations relating to a preference for the content and explanation information relating to the content and using preference value parameters for each kind of these operations. A preference information managing unit generates and renews preference information including preference values in which a given preference value is based on a combination of a given keyword and a preference value for that keyword. A content recommending unit calculates a preference degree for the content according to the preference information and the explanation information with respect to the content and recommends at least a portion of the content according to the preference degree.
