摘要: A method and device for describing a complex color raster image as a collection of objects in a hierarchical and device independent format. The purpose of structured imaging (SI) is to expand the scope of a raster image to a collection of individually manipulable component objects. An SI is a hierarchical description of a single output image raster which may be used as one component of a page in a structured document. Objects contributing to the output raster may originate from text, graphics, other rasters or a combination thereof, and all maintain their heritage for selectability and modification. The SI describes not only the source data but also the image processing operations required for rendering the output raster. SI technology supports re-editability, customization and enhancement, automatic image assembly and high performance imaging. Thus, such a model has implications not only in an image editing and processing arena, but also in the filing and printing services used for image handling.

摘要: Methods of improving the thickness and characteristics of galvanizing processes are disclosed. Several methods are disclosed which promote growth of the .zeta. layer in a double dipping galvanizing process. In one process a metal article is dipped in a molten-zinc bath at 430.degree.-480.degree. C. The article is then air-cooled or semi-air-cooled before it is dipped in a molten zinc bath containing no less than 0.1% aluminum at 390.degree.-460.degree. C. In another method, after molten-zinc-plating a metal article at 480.degree.-500.degree. C., the article is plated in a molten zinc bath containing no less than 0.1% of aluminum at 390.degree.-460.degree. C. In a third method, the surface of a metal article is blasted to form a surface having a roughness of at least 20 .mu.m before plating the article in a molten-zinc bath at 430.degree.-480.degree. C. The article is then plated in a molten zinc bath containing no less than 0.1% of aluminum at 390.degree.-450.degree. C.

摘要: Provided is an electronic level capable of accurately measuring a height difference between two points even when a waving method of finding and determining as a measured height a minimum value of read heights while rocking a leveling rod back and forth is used. An electronic level includes leveling rod reading-in means (S2) which reads graduations on a leveling rod being rocked back and forth and stores read heights, and stores the time of reading, approximate function determining means (S3) which approximates the read heights read in by the leveling rod reading-in means by a quadratic function of time, and measured value calculating means (S4) which determines a minimum value of the quadratic function approximated by the approximate function determining means as a measured height.

摘要: An image processing apparatus includes a division-conversion unit and a composing unit. The division-conversion unit extracts data representing N pixels (N is an integer of two or greater) from image data, divides the extracted data into k (2≦k≦N) divided data elements such that at least one pixel is described in each of the k divided data elements, and converts each of the k divided data elements into a single piece of data by using a conversion table. The conversion table is provided in accordance with the number of pixels described in each of the k divided data elements and is used for converting the corresponding k divided data element into the single piece of data by performing conversion processing. The composing unit combines the single pieces of data so as to generate one-pixel output data which is reduced from the extracted N-pixel data with a reduction ratio of 1/N.
