Abstract: An information management method collects log information of one or more home electrical apparatuses corresponding to service providers. Display screen data is generated which indicates a status of the log information. The display screen data includes groups of information which each contain information on an apparatus, a service provider corresponding to the apparatus, and log information output from the apparatus. Provision of the log information of each group is individually selectable. The display screen data is provided via a network to a display terminal that performs access to a server device. Information is received from the display terminal, which indicates that selection on whether or not provision of the log information is performed. Provision of the log information is stopped on the selected group when a determination is made that refusal of provision of the log information on the selected group is performed.

Abstract: A method for dealing with unauthorized frames that makes it possible to take appropriate measures when an unauthorized data frame is detected in a vehicle network system is provided. A plurality of ECUs in the vehicle network system are connected to a bus used for communicating frames. In the method for dealing with unauthorized frames, if a misuse detection ECU that checks a frame appearing in the bus detects an unauthorized frame that does not comply with a certain rule and a certain prevention condition is satisfied, a process for preventing the plurality of ECUs from performing a process corresponding to the unauthorized frame is performed (an error frame is transmitted) or, if the certain prevention condition is not satisfied, the process is not performed.

Abstract: Address information of a mail to be transmitted by a mail communication function is extracted from the mail to be transmitted; a transmission time of the mail to be transmitted is extracted from a portable information terminal; and judgment is made as to whether the address information matches predetermined address information and whether the transmission time belongs to a predetermined time zone. When the address information matches the predetermined address information, and the address information belongs to the predetermined time zone, an activation time at which a household appliance is to be activated is determined on the basis of the transmission time, and a control command for activating the household appliance at the activation time is transmitted to a network.

Abstract: A similar-information search method includes obtaining an instruction indicating which of an encrypted search and an unencrypted search a data computation device is to perform; generating an encrypted feature quantity and transmitting the encrypted feature quantity to the data computation device; generating an encrypted similarity value and transmitting the encrypted similarity value; and receiving encrypted reference data from the data computation device and decrypting the encrypted reference data. A homomorphic encryption scheme that makes decryption by the data computation device unsuccessful is used when the encrypted search is performed, whereas an encryption scheme that makes decryption by the data computation device successful is used when the unencrypted search is performed.
