摘要: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for design of synchronization signals for narrowband operation, which can be used for stand-alone/in-band/guard-band deployment. An example method is provided for operations which may be performed by a base station (BS). The example method generally includes generating a primary synchronization signal (PSS) utilizing a first code sequence and a cover code applied to the first code sequence over a first number of symbols within one or more subframes, generating a secondary synchronization signal (SSS) based on a second code sequence over a second number of symbols within one or more subframes, and transmitting the PSS and the SSS in the first and second subframes to a first type of a user equipment (UE) that communicates on one or more narrowband regions of wider system bandwidth.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may select a coverage enhancement (CE) level based on a coverage limitation. The UE may then receive system information from a base station indicating an index of CE levels and corresponding physical random access channel (PRACH) configurations, and the UE may transmit a random access preamble using the PRACH configuration for the selected CE level. For example, the UE may transmit the preamble based on a frequency offset that corresponds to the selected CE level. In some cases, the UE and base station may also associate groups of preambles with downlink (DL) CE levels. The UE may select a preamble from a group corresponding to a desired DL CE level for a random access response message. The base station may determine the DL CE level based on the group the preamble was selected from and respond accordingly.

摘要: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that favors the usage of resources for pilot signals and channel estimation in the transition slots of a slot burst, and the transmission of data in the subsequent slots of the slot burst. A device such as a user equipment (UE) and/or a base station may determine that the UE is operating in a transition state. The device may adapt a first numerology including a first number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the transition slots during the transition state, to a second scaled numerology including a second number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the subsequent slots after the transition state. A ratio of reference signal symbols to data symbol symbols may be greater in the transition slots than in the subsequent slots.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may receive repeated portions (e.g., modulation symbols) of a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) within a subframe. Portions of a PBCH may be repeated during various symbol periods of a subframe, and symbol periods for repetition may be selected based at least in part on locations of reference signals, synchronization signals, or downlink transmissions. Symbol periods that include cell-specific reference signals (CRS) may be used to repeat portions of a PBCH. Modulation symbols of a PBCH that include both broadcast information and CRS may be repeated within a subframe during symbol periods of the subframe than include CRS. Repetitions of portions of the PBCH in the subsequent subframe may be similarly or differently mapped to available resources in the subsequent subframe. Devices may identify characteristics of the PBCH by using differences in phase between repeated portions of the PBCH.

摘要: Techniques are described for wireless communication. A first method includes inserting channel or interference estimation modulation symbols into a sequence of data modulation symbols; performing a discrete Fourier transform (DFT) on a group of modulation symbols in the sequence of data modulation symbols, the group of modulation symbols including at least one of the channel or interference estimation modulation symbols; and generating a single-carrier frequency domain modulated (SC-FDM) symbol stream based at least in part on an output of the DFT. A second method includes performing an IDFT on a tone-demapped output of a DFT for each of at least one SC-FDM symbol stream, to recover a plurality of data modulation symbols and channel or interference estimation modulation symbols for each of the at least one SC-FDM symbol stream; estimating interference based at least in part on the channel or interference estimation modulation symbols; and decoding the data modulation symbols based at least in part on the estimated interference.

摘要: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus determines an interference type between a time division duplex (TDD) configuration subframe of a serving cell and a corresponding TDD configuration subframe of a neighboring cell, and sets a transmit power for an apparatus in the serving cell based on the interference type. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a user equipment (UE), in which case the apparatus applies a set of uplink (UL) open loop power control parameters for the UE. The apparatus in the serving cell may be a base station (eNB), in which case a DL transmit power is set for the eNB. Depending on the interference type, the DL transmit power may be a fixed, full power DL transmission or an adjusted DL transmission.

A first method includes transmitting a first signal to indicate accessing a first channel in a radio frequency spectrum band, and transmitting information with the first signal in the radio frequency spectrum band. A second method includes winning contention to access a radio frequency spectrum band, and after the winning contention to access the radio frequency spectrum band, transmitting a first signal to align a starting point of a second signal with a reference boundary associated with the radio frequency spectrum band. A third method includes winning contention to access a radio frequency spectrum band during a first frame period, the first frame selected from a plurality of different frame periods, and transmitting a signal at a periodicity during one or more subframes of the first frame period for each of the plurality of different frame periods.

摘要: Signaling strategies for an advanced receiver with interference cancellation (IC) and suppression is discussed. Upon enablement of an advanced interference cancellation procedure according to the disclosure, transmitters within the enabled area transmit according to transmission restriction configurations that provide transmission limits based on either frequency, time, or scheduling. The restrictions on the transmitters reduces the complexity of processing by neighboring advanced receivers for cancellation of interference from the restricted transmitters. At the advanced receiver, transmission information, such as scheduling, reference signal (RS), resource block (RB) allocation, and the like, may either be determined through blind detection or received directly through signaling. The advanced receiver may use this transmission information associated with each interfering signal to detect, decode, and subtract the interfering signals from the received transmissions.

In some aspects, the present methods and apparatus may allocate resources and indicate whether a first UE and a second UE are to transmit DM-RS with a comb structure in a single slot based on the allocation. Further, in some aspects, the present methods and apparatus may allocate resources and transmit information indicating whether a first UE is to transmit DM-RS in a first slot or in both a first slot and a second slot within a subframe.
