Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system that will be provided to support higher data transfer rate following a 4G communication system such as LTE. The present disclosure relates to a method of performing random access of a terminal, said method comprising: an operation of determining the number of received beams of a base station connected to transmitted beams of the terminal; an operation of determining an area of wireless transfer resource on the basis of the number of the received beams; and an operation of transmitting random access message in the random access resource defined by the beam resource corresponding to the determined number and the wireless transfer resource corresponding to the determined area.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling a waiting time related to determination of a radio link failure in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes receiving a message from a network, if a first timer for determination of the radio link failure is running and the message includes timer information related to the waiting time, starting a second timer related to the waiting time based on the timer information, and if the second timer expires before expiration of the first timer, determining a channel situation of a serving cell as a situation of the radio link failure.

In a wireless communication system of the present disclosure, a method for receiving, by a base station, a measurement result of a terminal includes: a process for allocating at least one of a plurality of measurement gaps, set for measuring a licensed band, for the measurement of an unlicensed band; a process for transmitting activation instruction information that instructs the activation of a measurement gap for the allocated unlicensed band measurement; and a process for receiving, from the terminal, a measurement result for the unlicensed band measured in the activated measurement gap by the terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a data transmission rate higher than that of a 4G communication system such as LTE. Disclosed are: a method for transmitting a signal in an unlicensed band channel on the basis of a counter reduction in the unlicensed band channel of a mobile communication system and a clear channel assessment (CCA) of the channel; and a mobile communication system, and according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, the method for transmitting a signal in an unlicensed band channel on the basis of a counter reduction in the unlicensed band channel of a mobile communication system and a clear channel assessment (CCA) of the channel comprises the steps of: reducing the counter and performing a CCA for the channel, during a first period of transmitting a discovery signal and data; storing the reduced counter when a second period of transmitting only the discovery signal without the data is started; reducing the counter by using the stored counter and performing the CCA for the channel when a third period of transmitting the discovery signal and the data is started; and transmitting the discovery signal or the data on the channel on the basis of the counter value.

Abstract: A 5th generation (5G) or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate than a 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE) is provided. A method and apparatus which perform communication in a wireless communication system using an unlicensed band, and a method in which a base station controls a clear channel assessment (CCA) timing in a wireless communication system using an unlicensed band are provided. The method includes determining whether to change CCA timing by comparing a number of at least one of continuous successes or continuous failures in a CCA with a predetermined threshold value and when it is determined that the CCA timing is to be changed, randomizing the CCA timing.

The method includes transmitting a first sensing indicator message indicating sensing of an unlicensed band channel, to at least one UE, determining a channel state by sensing the unlicensed band channel, receiving a first feedback message including a channel sensing result of the unlicensed band channel sensed by the UE, from the at least one UE, comparing the determined channel state with the channel sensing result received from the UE, and transmitting a control message indicating addition of the unlicensed band channel to the UE based on the comparison result.
