Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for scheduling and indicating scheduling information in a wireless local area network (WLAN). A station (STA) includes a transceiver configured to receive a header for a protocol data unit and a controller configured to identify common information for a plurality of STAs that are scheduled in the WLAN from a common field in the header and to identify user-specific information for the STA from a user-specific field in the header that follows the common field. An access point (AP) includes a controller configured to include common information for a plurality STAs that are scheduled in the WLAN in a common field in a header of a protocol data unit, and to include user-specific information for the STAs in a user-specific field in the header that follows the common field. The AP also includes a transceiver configured to transmit the protocol data unit including the header.

Abstract: An apparatus for an idle mode terminal is configured to perform a method for operating the idle mode terminal in a Machine to Machine (M2M) communication system. A paging message is received from the base station during a paging listening interval. The Apparatus determines whether an indicator indicating receipt of multicast group data is included in the paging message. When the indicator indicating the receiving of multicast group data is included, data transmitted via a downlink resource that uses an identifier mask of a multicast group to which a terminal belongs is received. Thereafter, a paging non-listening interval is entered.

A cloud cell is configured with a plurality of base stations that cooperate with each other for a mobile station and synchronizes user contexts for serving the mobile station among the plurality of base stations included in the cloud cell, and the plurality of base stations cooperate with each other to provide a communication service to the mobile station. The present disclosure reduces generation of a handover when the mobile station moves between base stations, and increases the data yield of the mobile station by transmitting and receiving data in cooperation with base stations in a cloud cell at a shaded area or a cell border.

Abstract: A Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) method and an apparatus in a communication system are provided. The member BSs include a master BS for controlling communication of the member BSs and at least one slave BS for communicating with the SS under the control of the master BS.

Abstract: A method of determining member Base Stations (BSs) providing cooperative communication to a Mobile Station (MS) in a communication system. The method includes when a candidate list of the member BSs generated using at least one of strengths of signals received from adjacent BSs and cell loading state information of the adjacent BSs is received from the MS, selecting candidate BSs having a service quality larger than or equal to a threshold from candidate BSs included in the candidate list as targets to receive a member negotiation; and performing a capability negotiation with each of the selected targets to receive the member negotiation to select final member BSs and transmitting information on the determined final member BSs to the MS.

Abstract: A method for processing a first node to configure a neighbor network in a wireless communication system including the first node and one or more second nodes neighboring the first node. The resource allocation method includes transmitting, to the slave base station, a resource allocation request message including information on the resource to be allocated to the mobile station, receiving a resource allocation response message including one of accept and reject indications to the resource allocation request from the slave base station, transmitting, to the mobile station, a resource allocation information including a result of resource allocation negotiation with the slave base station, and transmitting data to the mobile station in cooperation with the slave base station based on the resource allocation information.
