The disclosure provides a method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system. The method includes receiving, from a base station, information configuring a list of aperiodic trigger states for CSI; receiving, from the base station, DCI including a CSI request field, wherein each codepoint of the CSI request field is associated with one trigger state of the list and a CSI-RS is triggered based on a trigger state indicated by the CSI request field; identifying whether a BWP in which the CSI-RS is received is non-active; and in case that the BWP in which the CSI-RS is received is non-active, skipping a measurement of the CSI-RS.
