摘要: An optical scanning device includes a scanning optical system scans an image surface in a main scanning direction by focusing a deflected light beam onto the image surface as a beam spot, the scanning optical system providing an amount of linearity at an outer peripheral end of the image surface. An optical writing unit controls ON/OFF state of a light source in accordance with an image signal. A frequency dividing unit generates a secondary frequency of a pixel clock, which is equal to an initial frequency of the pixel clock divided by an integer. An electrical correction unit adjusts the secondary frequency of the pixel clock with respect to each of respective pixels included in the image signal, when the beam spot is located near the outer peripheral end of the image surface, so as to obtain uniform-velocity characteristics.

摘要: An imaging optical system images a one-dimensional image on an image surface by regarding as an object a light modulator element which has light modulator parts arranged one-dimensionally in a first direction, and regarding a bundle of rays from the light modulator element as an object light. The imaging optical system includes at least two anamorphic surfaces each having radii of curvature which are different on an object surface in the first direction and a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, so that imaging surfaces in the first and second directions match.

摘要: Plural communication areas are provided, and plural electronic control units for mutually making communication in each of the communication areas are provided. A vehicular power line communication system includes a power line coupling the respective communication areas to one another, branch power lines coupling the respective electronic control units in each of the communication areas to one another, and a battery for supplying electric power to the electronic control units through the power line and the branch power lines. The power line is formed of a +B line turning to a positive polarity and a ground line turning to a negative polarity, which are cabled to be spaced from each other in a part of the power line. The branch power lines superpose communication data thereon, thereby making data communication.

摘要: A multi-beam scanning device includes a plurality of light sources which emit multiple beams. A plurality of coupling lenses couple the multiple beams from the light sources. A converging lens device converts the coupled beams into converging beams, the converging beams being elongated in a direction corresponding to a main scanning direction and converging only in a direction corresponding to a sub-scanning direction, at least two of the converging beams forming a difference angle therebetween. A rotary deflector has a reflection surface rotated about a fixed rotation axis. The reflection surface deflects the converging beams while the reflection surface is rotated. A scanning lens device scans an image surface in the main scanning direction at a substantially uniform velocity by focusing each deflected beam into a beam spot on the image surface. The multi-beam scanning device is configured to satisfy desired conditions to allow the multi-beam scanning device to achieve excellent optical characteristics without using a polarization beam splitter. Further, an image forming system and method which uses such a multi-beam scanning device is provided.

摘要: A rectangular array of rod lenses is arranged between an original document and a photoconductive member, and the document and photoconductive member move relative to the rod lens array at the same speed. The document is illuminated for three sequential color separation exposures so that three color images are formed on the surface of the photoconductive member by the rod lens array. Due to the construction of the means for illuminating the document, the brightness of the illumination is different for the three color separation exposures. This is compensated for by varying the number of rod lenses for the three color separation exposures and thereby the cross sectional area of the rod lens array which constitutes an exposure aperture so that the effective brightness of illumination is the same for the three color separation exposures.

摘要: The flash memory controller compresses data in response to a write request. On condition that there is a compression effect with respect to the compressed data, the flash memory controller writes the compressed data to the base area of a physical block of a flash memory. As physical pages assigned to the physical block, the flash memory controller reduces the physical pages assigned to the base area from 102 down to 59, and increases the physical pages assigned to the update area from 26 up to 69. Therefore, it is possible to suppress exhaustion of physical pages which are assigned to the update area, to reduce the number of erases of the physical block, and to consequently prolong device operating life.
