摘要: A blow-molded synthetic resin bottle that can be fully flattened and easily restored to an original shape. The bottle includes at least a line of turn is formed on the shoulder, the body, and the bottom along the entire vertical circumference. Among the sections divided by this line of turn, at least a section is used as a shell section in which at least a nearly entire body portion of this section has relatively high rigidity. The other section is a reversible section in which at least a nearly entire body portion has relatively low rigidity and is capable of being deformed by resilient reversion. The neck is disposed on the shoulder, and the reversible section can be deformed and easily concaved into the shell section for volume reduction and then can be restored to the original shape.

摘要: A bottle-type plastic container has a body and an opening at one end of the container that allows liquid content to be filled into the container and emptied therefrom. The body includes at least one body portion having a substantially regular polygonal cross-section defined by a plurality of generally flat walls. The generally flat walls of the body portion include flexible walls and less-flexible walls, which are arranged alternately to each other in a circumferential direction of the body portion. When the container is filled with liquid contents at a high temperature and subsequently cooled to room temperature, a resultant pressure drop within the container is absorbed by the walls, initially by a primary inward deflection of the flexible walls and subsequently by a secondary inward deflection of the less-flexible walls. As such, the plastic container is particularly suited for hot fill applications.

摘要: On the first substrate that serves as an active-element-side substrate, pixel electrodes are formed with a flattening film interpolated in between. On the second substrate that serves as an opposing-side substrate, light-shielding films are formed into an island pattern which allows the light-shielding films to shield the respective active elements on the first-substrate side from light, and gap-controlling sections are formed into the same island pattern as the light-shielding films by exposing positive-working photosensitive resin layer that has been applied onto the entire surface of the second substrate from the back-surface side of the second substrate by using the light-shielding films as a photomask. The flattening film makes it possible to suppress the occurrence of disclination in the liquid crystal molecules. Therefore, the light-shielding films can be formed as the island pattern that only shield the active elements from light, and consequently it is possible to improve the aperture rate. Further, since the gap-controlling layer can be formed at portions other than the pixel electrodes, it is possible to avoid degradation in the contrast ratio of a liquid crystal display.

摘要: According to the present invention, a liquid crystal electro-optic device is provided. The liquid crystal electro-optic device includes a pair of insulating substrates disposed to face each other; a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between the insulating substrates; and a pair of alignment films respectively formed on the insulating substrates to be in contact with the liquid crystal layer. The orientations of liquid crystal molecules in the liquid crystal layer, which are in contact with the pair of alignment films, are aligned in a direction substantially perpendicular to the pair of insulating substrates, and the liquid crystal layer has a twist pitch of approximately quadruple the thickness of the liquid crystal layer.

摘要: In a bottle made of synthetic resin of the present invention, a handle is combined to a bottle body so that the bottle can be easily handled for carrying it and pouring the content. When the joint of the handle to the bottle body is unstable, it is difficult to handle the bottle and it will occur an accident when the handle comes off the bottle body. Therefore, in the present invention, a reinforcing structure is provided to necessary portions not to deform the joining portion of the handle to the bottle body and further a coming off-preventing mechanism is provided so that the handle does not comes off the bottle. The coming off-preventing mechanism is accomplished by a supporting projection and/or a supplementary engaging protruding portion and a supplementary engaging recess portion. To ensure the coming off-preventing mechanism, the bottle body is formed by biaxial oriented blow molding with assembly beams of the handle as an insert.
