摘要: Disclosed is a method performed by a communication device (120) for enhancing wireless communication with a network node (110) of a wireless communication network (100). The communication device (120) has received, from the network node, a first timing advance, TA, value at a first time point when in active state, and the communication device has thereafter switched to inactive state. The method comprises switching from inactive to active state, after obtaining an indication of data transfer, determining whether the first TA value is still valid, employing the first TA value for sending data to the network node when the first TA value is determined to be valid, and employing an updated TA value for sending data to the network node when the first TA value is determined not to be valid. By determining that the first TA value is still valid and in these cases reusing the first TA value, communication resources that would otherwise have been used for updating the TA value can be spared.

摘要: The present invention relates to the coordination of simultaneous multi-RAT camping in a wireless communication network that provides radio access for a terminal device via at least a first and second wireless radio access operating with different radio access technologies. The improved multi-RAT camping is achieved by transmitting, by a network node, an indication regarding a set of camping areas, CAs, including a first set of camping areas being associated with the first RAT and a second set of camping areas being associated with the second RAT; performing, by the terminal device, camping in a coverage area defined based on the set of CAs; and updating, by the terminal device, the communication network with a geographic location of the terminal device a) when the terminal device enters a new coverage area being different from the coverage area defined by both the first and second set of CAs as a first mechanism, or b) when the terminal device enters a new coverage area being different from the coverage area defined by one of the first and second set of CAs as a second mechanism.

摘要: The present invention relates to paging coordination in a wireless communication network that provides radio access for a terminal device via at least a first and second wireless radio access operating with different radio access technologies. The improved paging coordination is achieved by setting a common paging occasion configuration for the at least first and second radio access technologies, and paging (S130) the terminal device (10) via the first and/or the second radio access technologies according to the common paging occasion configuration.

摘要: A radio device (10) acquires system information from the wireless communication network. The system information comprises parameters for controlling access of the radio device (10) to the wireless communication network. The system information is organized in at least two classes differing with respect to a risk level associated with accessing the wireless communication network based on one or more parameters of the class. Further, the radio device (10) receives validation information which enables the radio device (10) to determine, individually for at least one of the classes, validity of the system information as previously acquired by the radio device (10). Depending on the validity and the risk level associated with at least one of the classes, the radio device (10) determines whether to access the wireless communication network based on the system information as previously acquired by the radio device (10).

摘要: The disclosure relates to methods, devices, and computer programs in mobile communications. More specifically the disclosure relates to a method, performed in a network node, for paging a wireless device. The method comprises determining parameters for a paging transmission, obtaining two or more possible paging transmission formats, selecting one of the two or more possible paging transmission formats, based on the determined parameters and transmitting the paging transmission using the selected paging transmission format. The disclosure also relates to methods is a wireless for receiving a paging and to corresponding devices and to a computer program for executing the proposed methods.

摘要: A network node (600), a wireless device (602) and methods therein, for enabling access to a radio network. System signatures are associated with corresponding system information configurations that can be used for accessing the radio network in a first area. The system signatures are reused in a second area as associated with system information configurations which are different than in the first area. The network node (600) indicates (6:3) that at least one system information configuration stored in the wireless device (602) is invalid and should not be used. The wireless device (602) then makes (6:4) the at least one invalid system information configuration unusable in the wireless device, e.g. by deleting it from the wireless device (602). Thereby, the risk of using an incorrect system information configuration based on a reused system signature can be reduced or eliminated.

摘要: A method performed by a wireless device (121) for receiving system information from a network node (110) in a wireless communications network (100) is provided. The wireless device first receives a first system information indicating one or more Public Land Mobile Networks, PLMNs, supported on a frequency carrier by the network node (110). Then, the wireless device determines if the one or more PLMNs indicated in the first system information exclude all PLMN(s) supported by the wireless device (121). When the one or more PLMNs indicated in the first system information does not exclude all PLMN(s) supported by the wireless device (121), then the wireless device receives a second system information comprising the one or more PLMNs supported on the frequency carrier by the network node (110). A wireless device (121) for receiving system information is also provided. Further, a network node and a method therein for transmitting system information are also provided.

摘要: There is disclosed a method performed by a wireless communication device 100 to enable the reception of a beam sweep transmission. The method comprises obtaining S1 information enabling said wireless communication device 100 to determine whether it is stationary, or essentially stationary. The method also comprises acquiring S2 configuration information comprising information about the starting time for the beam sweep transmission. The method also comprises determining S3 a time when to initiate a reception of the beam sweep transmission based at least partially on the obtained information and the acquired configuration information, thereby allowing said wireless communication device to enter, or remain in, a first activity state until the determined time. The method also comprises entering S4, at the determined time, a second activity state whereby said wireless communication device is capable to receive the beam sweep. There is also disclosed a complementary method performed by a radio network node as well as corresponding devices and computer programs.

摘要: Methods and wireless devices for monitoring system information in a wireless communications network. An example method comprises selecting (620) a first downlink signal carrying uplink access configuration information, from among two or more candidate downlink signals carrying uplink access configuration information, based at least in part on signal quality measurements performed on the first downlink signal. The example method further includes selecting (630) a second downlink signal carrying tracking area information, from among two or more candidate downlink signals carrying tracking area information, based at least in part on signal quality measurements performed on the second downlink signal, where the selection of the second downlink signal is independent of the selection of the first downlink signal. The method further comprises camping (640) on the selected first downlink signal to monitor for uplink access configuration information, while simultaneously camping on the selected second downlink signal to monitor for tracking area information.
