摘要: An image reading device (image scanner) includes a resolution changing device that changes a resolution of the image signals output by a photoelectric sensor device by changing a primary scanning direction aperture size, a secondary scanning direction aperture size, or both, of the photoelectric sensor device. In order to change a resolution in the secondary scanning direction, the secondary scanning direction aperture size is changed, for example, by a control device that controls a drive velocity of a drive device that drives the photoelectric sensor device in the secondary scanning direction relative to an original document. Alternatively, the control device can control a duration of an integral time of the photoelectric sensor device during which the photoelectric sensor elements of the photoelectric sensor device collect light from the original document in order to vary the secondary scanning direction aperture size. In order to change a resolution in the primary scanning direction, the primary scanning direction aperture size is changed, for example, by an averaging process circuit that averages the signals output from a plurality of adjacent photoelectric sensor elements. The averaging process circuit changes a resolution of the image by a factor of m by averaging the signals output by m adjacent photoelectric sensor elements, wherein m is an integer.

摘要: Improved polypropylene resin foamed beads that without detriment to the excellence in properties, such as compression properties and heat resistance, characterizing the polypropylene resin foamed beads, can provide a polypropylene resin foamed bead molded article with equal properties by an molding conducted at low heating temperature. There are disclosed polypropylene resin foamed beads composed of a polypropylene resin of 115 to 135° C. melting point and 500 MPa or higher Olsen flexural modulus. The amount of ash at the surface of the foamed beads is 3000 wt. ppm or less (including 0). With respect to the foamed beads, in the first DSC curve obtained by heating 1 to 3 mg of polypropylene resin foamed beads from room temperature to 200° C. at a temperature elevation rate of 10° C./min by the use of a differential scanning calorimeter, there appear not only one or more endothermic peak (Pa) having the peak temperature within a temperature zone not higher than the melting point of the resin but also one or more endothermic peak (Pb) having the peak temperature within a temperature zone exceeding the melting point of the resin and not lower than 130° C. The total calorific value of the endothermic peak (Pb) is in the range of 2 to 12 J/g. Further, there is disclosed a foamed bead molded article obtained by molding the above foamed beads.

摘要: This disclosure provides a sheet package which prevents sheets taken out from the sheet package from being inserted into the sheet package again and which also prevents sheets from dropping out of the sheet package. The sheet package is made up of a package material folded into a rectangular parallelepiped thin box. Ear portions which serve as a sheet intrusion blocking member are located in a space sandwiched by a bottom face and a first sheath portion and side ends of the ear portions make contact with end portions of sheets in an insertion direction so that the end portions of the sheets cannot reach a side wall portion. Thus, the sheets cannot be restored to their original storage positions in the sheet package completely and part of the sheets project from the sheet package. Thus, dropped sheets cannot be restored to the sheet package through an opening portion, and sheets to which either dust or dirt has adhered are thus prevented from being reused.
