    摘要: Disclosed is an internal combustion engine having a charcoal canister. The float chamber of the carburetor is connected to the canister via an evaporated fuel vapor passage. The carburetor has therein a slow fuel passage connected to the slow port which opens into the intake passage of the engine. The slow fuel passage is opened and, at the same time, the evaporated fuel vapor passage is closed by means of a single electromagnetic valve when the ignition switch is turned to the ON condition.

    摘要: Disclosed is a secondary air control device disposed in a system for supplying secondary air into an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine for purifying exhaust gas emitted from the engine. The secondary air control device comprises a first valve device actuated by an ON-OFF vacuum signal for stepwisely controlling the flow of secondary air in response to the ON-OFF vacuum signal, and; a second valve device, which is a delay system with a predetermined delay time, actuated by the ON-OFF vacuum signal for controlling the flow of secondary air. Accordingly, the secondary air control device can control the flow of secondary air, which comprises a step flow generated by the first valve device, and a delayed flow generated by the second valve device, in accordance with the ON-OFF vacuum signal.

The device is simple in construction and can vary the predetermined amount of secondary air in correspondence with the changes of the characteristic of the catalyzer which may vary as the catalyzer is activated, so that the amount of the secondary air is controlled for maintaining the highest converting efficiency for a long duration of use of the vehicle which has this device mounted thereon.

    摘要: In the device disclosed, a catalytic converter purifies exhaust gas from an engine. A sensor measures the temperature of the converter and an amplifier amplifies the measurement to produce a temperature signal. A differentiator produces a time-differential of the signal multiplied by a constant representing the time constant of the sensor. An operating circuit adds the multiplied time-differential to the signal to produce a voltage that is compensated for the response delay of the temperature sensor. Electromagnetic relays respond to the voltage by diverting the gases and the secondary air around the converter.

Various trifluoromethyl-containing compounds are produced using a method for producing the S-(trifluoromethyl)-benzo[b]thiophenium derivative salt, and using the S-(trifluoromethyl)-benzo[b]thiophenium derivative salt as a trifluoromethylating agent.
