Abstract: A system may receive user device information that includes a location associated with the user device and an identifier of a base station associated with the location and receives load information associated with the base station. The system may determine, based on the user device information and the load information, whether congestion is predicted and perform traffic throttling in response to determining the congestion is predicted. A schedule for adjusting the traffic throttling is determined and the traffic throttling is adjusted based on the schedule.

Abstract: A system may receive user device information that includes a location associated with the user device and an identifier of a base station associated with the location and receives load information associated with the base station. Abstract: Systems described herein provide techniques for establishing and modifying user plane communications sessions between Long-Term Evolution (“LTE”) User Equipment (“UE”) devices, connected to LTE base stations, and a Fifth Generation (“5G”) core network. An LTE-5G Interworking function (“LTE-5G IWF”) may logically generate a virtual 5G UE and/or 5G base station, map a LTE UE to the virtual 5G UE, and cause the establishment of a Protocol Data Unit (“PDU”) Session, at the 5G core network, with the virtual 5G UE. The LTE-5G IWF may also maintain a 5G context, including the information of the virtual 5G UE and/or 5G base station, based on the actual location of the LTE UE and/or an LTE base station to which the LTE UE is connected. The LTE-5G IWF may further update this context, including location information, when the LTE UE is handed over from one LTE base station to another.

Abstract: A device obtains a list of a plurality of user devices from a first network device and receives a message intended for a destination user device from a second network device. The device obtains information indicating that the destination user device can receive messages that conform to a particular format from a third network device and converts the message to the particular format. The device determines a reachability of the destination user device based on the list of the plurality of user devices, after converting the message, and sends the message to the destination user device via the first network device based on the reachability. The device receives a delivery message from the destination user device and sends a notification message indicating successful delivery of the message to the second network device based on the delivery message.

Abstract: A device may receive a request for domain name system (DNS) information to be provided to a user device communicating via a visited network. The device may identify roaming policy information associated with the user device and, based on the roaming policy information, may determine that the user device is restricted from sending or receiving data via the visited network. The device may determine DNS information, to be provided to the user device, that includes information that identifies a restricted DNS server to which the user device is to be directed. The device may provide the DNS information to the user device to cause the user device to be directed to the restricted DNS server. The user device may be directed to the restricted DNS server to permit a user of the user device to authorize the user device to send or receive data via the visited network.

Abstract: A quality of service traffic steering approach for multi-access edge computing (MEC) environments is disclosed. In an embodiment, a network exposure function (NEF) or similar device (e.g., MEC controller or orchestrator) monitors a quality of service (QoS) of a data session between a user equipment (UE) and an application. The NEF then can determine when the QoS of the data session does not meet a requested service level agreement (SLA). When the SLA is not met, the NEF identifies a MEC host that meets the SLA using a database of MEC applications. Based on the identified MEC host, the NEF re-routes the data session to the MEC host.

Abstract: A system described herein may receive monitoring information associated with a plurality of User Equipment (“UEs”) that receive service via a wireless network. The system may identify, based on the received monitoring information, a particular set of network configuration parameters to implement with respect to service provided to a particular UE, of the plurality of UEs, via the wireless network. The system may provide, to the wireless network, the identified set of network configuration parameters. Providing the identified set of network configuration parameters may include providing an identifier of the particular UE. One or more elements of the wireless network may implement the provided set of network configuration parameters, which may include modifying parameters of the service provided to the particular UE.

Abstract: A device may receive data indicating a required quality of service (QoS), and may receive radio access network (RAN) information associated with a RAN, wherein the RAN information is provided by a centralized unit (CU) of the RAN. The device may provide the RAN information to a multi-access edge computing (MEC) platform, and may receive, from the MEC platform, a QoS request that requests the required QoS. The device may provide the QoS request to the CU, and may receive a QoS response to the QoS request. The device may provide the QoS response to a policy control function (PCF) of a core network, and may receive an indication of approval of the QoS response from the PCF. The device may cause, based on receiving the indication of approval, the required QoS to be implemented by the MEC platform and network devices associated with the core network.

Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a monitoring event handling service is provided. The service may include a non-stand-alone core device subscribing to a registration status for an end device with a stand-alone core device. The service may also include the non-stand-alone core device subscribing to a monitoring event service with the stand-alone core device on behalf of another non-stand-alone core network device. The stand-alone core device may monitor an event when the end device is stand-alone registered and may notify the non-stand-alone core device when the event occurs. The service may include the non-stand-alone core device notifying the other non-stand-alone core device when the event occurs.
