摘要: An elevator guide system for flat rope tracking prevents the flat rope from hitting the shoulders on a rotating sheave to prevent premature degradation emitting objectionable sounds. The rope guide system includes one or more guide bodies having channels generally aligned with sheave grooves to which each block is adjacently positioned using a frame-mount. The guide bodies align the flat belt on entry into and exit from a sheave. The guide bodies may have a planar back surface, or a circular back surface, with the channel sidewalls disposed thereon and extending outwardly at right angles therefrom.

摘要: An example drive train assembly for a power conversion system includes a first sprocket which defines an axis of rotation, at least two secondary sprockets adjacent to the first sprocket and at least one belt. The axis of rotation lies outside of an area defined by the belt. The belt is operable to transfer mechanical power between the first sprocket and the two secondary sprockets in response to a rotation of the first sprocket about the axis of rotation. The belt defines a first side having one of a first plurality of notches and a first plurality of teeth and an opposing second side having one of a second plurality of notches and a second plurality of teeth. The first sprocket defines the other of the first plurality of notches and the first plurality of teeth and the secondary sprockets define the other of the second plurality of notches and the second plurality of teeth. The first plurality of teeth engage the first plurality of notches and the second plurality of teeth engage the second plurality of notches, whereby rotation of the first sprocket about the axis of rotation engages the first plurality of teeth with the first plurality of notches and the second plurality of teeth with the second plurality of notches.

摘要: A power system (10) operates a plurality of hoist motors (18a, 18b, 18c), each of which controls movement of one of a plurality of elevators (12a, 12b, 12c). The power system (10) includes a power bus (11) and a converter (22) connected across the power bus (11) for converting alternating current (AC) power from an AC power source (20) to direct current (DC) power and delivering the DC power to the power bus (11). The power system (10) also includes a plurality of inverters (26a, 26b, 26c) connected across the power bus (11). Each inverter (26a, 26b, 26c) is connected to a hoist motor (18a, 18b, 18c) and is operable to drive the hoist motor (18a, 18b, 18c) when the hoist motor (18a, 18b, 18c) is motoring by converting the DC power from the power bus (11) into AC power. Each inverter (26a, 26b, 26c) is further operable to convert AC power produced by the hoist motor (18a, 18b, 18c) when the motor is generating to DC power and to deliver the DC power to the power bus (11). A controller (31) manages power on the power bus (11) by controlling operation of the converter (22) and the inverters (26a, 26b, 26c) to drive a motoring hoist motor with power delivered to the power bus (11) by the converter (22) and generating hoist motors.

摘要: In an elevator sheave for a flat belt, the optimum crown height is within a range of approximately 0.033 to about 0.003 times the width of the elevator rope. The optimum radius is in the range of about 16.67 to about 50.00 times the width of the elevator rope. Both the crown height (h) and the crown radius (rc) may be expressed as a function of belt width (Wb). The groove width (wg) is in the range of approximately 1.5 and 2.25 times the width of the belt (Wb). A circumferential surface roughness of about 1.0 to 3.0 is applied. A hard, thin surface coating can be applied to enhance durability while maintaining traction.
