Abstract: A travelling cable of an elevator, more particularly of a passenger transport elevator and/or freight transport elevator, includes a protective envelope, conductors for transmitting electrical energy and data between the elevator car and the elevator hoistway, and one or more load-bearing bearer parts of essentially the length of the travelling cable for fixing the travelling cable at its first end to the elevator car and at its second end to the elevator hoistway, and which bearer part includes glass-fiber reinforcements and/or aramid-fiber reinforcements and/or carbon-fiber reinforcements and/or polybenzoxazole-fiber reinforcements and/or polyethylene-fiber reinforcements and/or nylon-fiber reinforcements in a polymer matrix material. An elevator includes the travelling cable.

Abstract: A tow cable for a decoy on a fast jet aircraft is described. The tow cable has a composite structure with a high friction fibre outer containment braiding, and low friction fibre internal strength members. Additional to these internal fibres may be electrical conductors and optical fibres. The whole composite providing a tow cable with high towing endurance and reliable in-flight performance, for flight profiles including high performance manoeuvres and in-flight refuelling.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a high strength synthetic strength member (7) containing rope (1) capable of being used with powered blocks where such rope has lighter weight and similar or greater strength than steel wire strength member containing ropes used with powered blocks. Disclosed also is the product resulting from such method. The product includes a synthetic strength member, a first synthetic portion (9) and a second synthetic portion. The first synthetic pillion is enclosed within the strength member and the second synthetic portion is situated external the strength member. At least a portion of the second synthetic portion also is situated internal a sheath (8) formed about the strength member. The second synthetic portion has a minimal of 8% at a temperature of between negative 20 and negative 15° C.

Abstract: The present invention provides a lace fabric of a helical structure containing twisted optical fiber threads and a production method therefor. The lace fabric includes light guiding threads, an external sleeve and braided ropes. The light guiding threads and the braided ropes are mutually twisted to form a whole body; the external sleeve is further sleeved outside the light guiding threads and the braided ropes; an LED light source module is arranged at the outer parts of the light guiding threads and the braided ropes; and a light-emitting end of the LED light source module and the light guiding threads are arranged opposite to each other. The present invention is safe, is low in cost, is conveniently applied to and combined into various daily supplies, is used in some spaces with little light, such as outdoors in the night and other places.
