    摘要: Techniques are described for space-time-frequency (STF) coding of multi-carrier transmissions over frequency-selective fading channels. In particular, techniques for STF coding of MIMO-OFDM systems are described that provide maximum diversity, high coding gains, and low decoding complexity are described. A set of generally correlated OFDM subcarriers are divided into groups of subcarriers creating a set of group STF (GSTF) subsystems, within which STF coding is applied to each GSTF subsystem. Subcarrier grouping preserves maximum diversity gains and simplifies both the code construction within each GSTF and decoding complexity. ST coding techniques are used in designing STF block (STFB) and STF trellis (STFT) codes which are applied within GSTF subsystems.

The burst mapping method includes generating control information bits and user data bits by encoding input control information and user data; dividing the control information bits and user data bits into more than two bursts; and arranging a Training Sequence Code (TSC) in a center of each burst, placing the coded control information bits in positions adjacent to the TSC, and swapping the user data bits with bits mapped to higher-reliability positions among the control information bits.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides for the construction and use of a set of Zero-Correlation-Zone (ZCZ) Concatenated Complementary Pair (CCP) sequences with zero-correlation-zone range greater than one or with zero-correlation-zone range equal to one and the sequence set size greater than two. Complementary pair sequences A and B are selected and, for each member of the set of ZCZ CCP sequences, sign sequences pA and pB are combined with the complementary pair sequences to form a member ZCZ CCP sequence of the set. A ZCZ CCP sequence modified by propagation over a communication channel may be identified by cross-correlation with ZCZ CCP sequences of the set. A set of sign sequences may be constructed by recursive expansion from an initial set or found by a computer search. The sequences may be used in a transceiver of a portable electronic device or other communication device.

    摘要: Spectrum sensing methods and systems for detecting spectrum holes for use in cognitive radio secondary transmissions are disclosed. In one method, an indication of an assignment of a set of subcarriers to a primary user is received. The method further includes determining multitaper spectral estimates for at least a subset of the set of subcarriers based on the assignment of the set of subcarriers to the primary user by processing samples for the at least a subset of the set of subcarriers. In addition, a test statistic that is based on the multitaper spectral estimates is compared to a threshold to determine whether the set of subcarriers is utilized for primary transmissions to the primary user. Moreover, data signals are received on at least one of the subcarriers in the set of subcarriers if the set of subcarriers is not utilized for primary transmissions to the primary user.

    摘要: The present document relates to the transmission of data in a digital cellular telecommunications network. In particular, the present document relates to the secure transmission of data over Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) networks. A method for encoding a SACCH information block in a wireless network is described. The method comprises randomizing a plurality of randomization unit input bits derived from at least some of a plurality of payload bits of the SACCH information block using a pseudo-random bit block, thereby yielding a plurality of randomized bits; and ciphering a plurality of ciphering unit input bits derived from at least some of the plurality of randomized bits, thereby yielding an encoded data burst of a SACCH frame; wherein ciphering is based on a ciphering algorithm using a ciphering key Kc and a frame number COUNT of the SACCH frame; wherein the pseudo-random bit block is determined based on the ciphering key Kc.
