    摘要: In an optical connector for use in connecting an optical fiber, a housing defines an optical axis extending in a predetermined direction. For positioning the optical fiber along the optical axis, a ferrule is accommodated in the housing to be movable in the predetermined direction. The housing further accommodates a fixing member engaged with the housing in the predetermined direction. Between the ferrule and the fixing member, an elastic member is interposed to urge the ferrule towards one side in the predetermined direction. In addition, the housing has a guide groove extending in the predetermined direction. The fixing member has a guide portion protruding through the guide groove to the outside of the housing.

    摘要: In an optical connection apparatus for use in optical connection, a shutter is held by a housing defining an optical axis of the optical connection. The shutter is formed by a single sheet of plate material and includes a plate-like light shielding portion positioned to cross the optical axis and a held portion held by the housing. The shielding portion has a width in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis. The held portion is shifted in position with respect to the light shielding portion in the direction of the width of the shielding portion.

    摘要: There is provided an optical connector device which prevents leakage of light until right before connectors are connected to each other and is small-sized by a reduction in space for housing shutters. The optical connector device is an optical connector device comprising a first optical connector and a second optical connector. When shutters for shutting out light from the optical connectors are collided with each other, the shutters move to positions where they do not shut out the light. Therefore, the first optical connector and the second optical connector are connected to each other. After moving, the shutter of the first optical connector and the shutter of the second optical connector are inserted into the second optical connector while remaining contacting each other.

    摘要: An adapter unit capable of preventing breakage of a positioning key for accurately connecting first and adapters. A key is formed on an inner peripheral surface of a hollow cylindrical portion of a receptacle adapter such that a front end thereof is rearward of a front end of the hollow cylindrical portion. Projecting portions are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical portion at locations away from the key in a circumferential direction, for receiving a front end of a hollow cylindrical portion of a plug adapter inserted into the hollow cylindrical portion of the receptacle adapter. Receiving portions are formed on an outer peripheral surface of the hollow cylindrical portion of the plug adapter, for receiving the projecting portions. The front end of the key is rearward of the front end of each projecting portion.
