摘要: There is provided an input/output device which is capable of not exerting any adverse influence on other expansion devices connected to a system bus at the time of insertion or removal thereof. An expansion device 800 includes an electronic circuit 400 and a MOS switch 300 and is connected to a system bus (BUS) via a connector having long and short pins. The expansion device 800 is coupled to two power supply systems, namely a stable power supply 250 and an unstable power supply 260. At the time of insertion or removal of the expansion device 800, power is provided to the MOS switch 300 and a high impedance maintaining circuit from the stable power supply via a pair of long pins, so as to reliably place the MOS switch 300 in a high impedance state; and, inside the expansion device, the high impedance maintaining circuit 350 drives an open/close control terminal, and power is provided to the electronic circuit 400 from the unstable power supply 260. At the time of insertion or removal, adverse influence is not exerted on the signal transmission on the system bus, and effects of load variation on the main power supply are reduced.

摘要: A thermal-optical converter which comprises an aqueous solution containing a non-ionic compound with a functional group, a closed vessel for containing the solution and a transparent window fitted to at least one part of the closed vessel which allows the solution to be visible. Because the aqueous solution is transparent at low temperatures and opaque at elevated temperatures, the thermal-optical converter can effect reversible optical changes in accordance with changes in the temperature of the solution.

摘要: It is an object to provide signal processing device and method by use of wireless communication, which is capable of analyzing status of the wireless communication in detail at a later date, compressing a wireless signal such that it can be reproduced, and reproducing the compressed signal to perform its re-reception. The signal processing device includes a reception processing unit that performs reception processing of a received signal wirelessly, a signal recording unit that records the signal, a signal compression unit that compresses an information amount of the received signal, and a signal output unit that stores the received signal that has been compressed or outputs the same to an external device. The signal compression unit divides a signal, obtained by frequency-transforming the wireless received signal, into a signal portion large in amplitude value and a non-signal portion small in amplitude value on a frequency spectrum, calculates a representative value based on a feature quantity of the non-signal portion and combines the signal portion and the representative value into a compressed signal.
