    摘要: An automatic culture apparatus includes an airtight casing, a culture vessel platform, a culture observation platform and a separation/distribution work platform disposed in layered configuration with suitable vertical spacings between them. A drive system for the apparatus comprises an opening formed centrally in each of the platforms; a culture vessel carrier for conveying a culture vessel to each of the platforms through the openings; a transfer arm for loading and unloading a culture vessel on or from the carrier and any one of the platforms; a first drive mechanism for operating the carrier and the transfer arm; and a second drive mechanism for driving any one of the platforms. The second drive mechanism is mounted hermetically in the casing. By operating suitable drive mechanisms to actuate the various parts, a culture vessel may be automatically transferred and distributed on each of the platforms without causing contamination in a safe and efficient manner, for automatic growth of the medium being cultured under an optimum environment.

This method of preparation is safe from the potentiality of explosive hazards that may exist inadvertently or inherently in the conventional reaction system, and also capable of producing amine chloride-free products.

    摘要: When oganohalosilanes are prepared by charging a reactor with a contact mass containing a metallic silicon powder, a copper catalyst and a co-catalyst, and introducing an organohalide-containing gas into the reactor to effect the direct reaction, the catalyst and/or co-catalyst used in the contact mass is obtained by mixing particles of the catalyst and/or co-catalyst with finely divided silica, and applying shear forces to the mixture for mutually rubbing the particles, thereby producing the catalyst and/or co-catalyst having finely divided silica fused to surfaces thereof. The invention is successful in producing organohalosilanes at a significantly improved formation rate without reducing the proportion of diorganodihalosilane.

    摘要: The present invention provides a mounting structure of a rotary shaft of rotary electric machinery in which it is possible to cope with vibration of the rotary shaft in an axial direction with a low parts count. A fitting groove into which a portion of a rear side stopper is fitted is formed at a rear end portion of the rotary shaft. A rear side stopper has three projecting chips fitted into the fitting groove and three leaf spring chips in contact with an inner ring of a rolling bearing forming a bearing structure. The rear side stopper has a structure in which the rear side stopper generates spring force for restoring an original shape thereof when the rear side stopper is compressed in an axial direction of the rotary shaft. The rear side stopper is disposed in a compressed state between a wall face surrounding the fitting groove and the inner ring of the rolling bearing.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method of producing dimethylpolysiloxanes through hydrolysis of dimethyldichlorosilane wherein a water solution containing a water-soluble oxygen-containing organic compound is introduced into dimethyldichlorosilane. Therein, linear dimethylpolysiloxanes alone having both ends blocked with chlorine atoms can be selectively produced by properly controlling the water content in the hydrolysis system and further by rendering the hydrolysis system acidic, and cyclic dimethylpolysiloxanes alone can also be selectively produced by properly controlling the water content in the hydrolysis system and optionally rendering the hydrolysis system acidic.
