    摘要: The zone tillage coulters on a drilling or planting implement are maintained at an essentially constant running depth by control apparatus that includes a programmed microprocessor-based controller and a hydraulic operating system that receives commands from the controller based upon inputs received from various sensors. One such sensor comprises a ground wheel which rides along the ground and swings up or down as changes in the terrain are encountered, such motions thus imparting voltage inputs to the controller which compares such inputs with previously selected data inputted by the operator. If the comparison results in a sufficiently large difference between the operator-selected data and the actual data coming from the sensor, the controller will cause a tongue cylinder to be actuated in the appropriate direction to buckle the tongue about a horizontal axis and thus either raise or lower the tongue and coulter gangs fastened thereto. Another sensor detects ground speed and inputs that information into the controller to influence the frequency of output pulses from the controller, while a third sensor detects when the machine is raised into its transport position at the end of a row so that coulters can be elevated to facilitate turn around of the machine. Adjustments can be made by the operator on the go, and manual override is also provided.

    摘要: An automatic draft control for controlling the position of a tractor-mounted hitch includes a slip override circuit responsive to a wheel signal for modifying a hitch position command so that hitch draft is reduced by raising the hitch when the degree of tractor wheel slip exceeds a threshold value. The slip is determined by measuring theoretical (no-slip) ground speed with a sensor which senses the rate of rotation of the tractor rear axle, and measuring true ground speed with a radar unit mounted on one side of the tractor. Because the radar unit does not indicate the speed of the center line of the tractor as it turns, the slip signal is prevented from modifying the hitch position command if the hitch is raised since the hitch is usually raised when turning and there is no need to modify the position command with the slip signal when the hitch is raised. The true ground speed is automatically and repeatedly divided by the rate of rotation of the tractor rear axle when conditions are such that wheel slippage is unlikely. The multiple divisions produce plural indications of a correction factor. These indications are filtered to obtain a correction factor which accounts for variations in the effective rolling radius of the wheels. Once the correction factor has been determined it is applied to the wheel speed sensor output to calculate the theoretical ground speed of the vehicle.

    摘要: A control system is provided for a hydraulically operated tractor hitch assembly including a rockshaft operated by a main cylinder which is controlled through a spool valve operated by a pilot cylinder which is controlled, in turn, through a solenoid operated pilot valve. The pilot valve is selectively controlled from first and second detector circuits through a gating circuit which is controlled by a third detector circuit which responds to a first error signal developed by comparing a command signal which corresponds to a rockshaft target position and a first feedback signal which corresponds to the actual rockshaft position and which is generated by a potentiometer connected to the rockshaft. The first detector circuit is operative when the first error signal is of relatively high magnitude and responds to a second error signal developed by comparing the first error signal with a feedback signal derived through a signal modifying circuit from the potentiometer connected to the spool valve, with the signal modifying circuit being operative to compensate for a dead zone of the spool valve and with the operation being such that the rockshaft is rotated to a position within a zero target range without under-shoot, over-shoot or oscillation. The second detector circuit is operative when the first error signal is of low magnitude and responds directly to the second feedback signal to center the spool valve.
