摘要： A wrist band assembly constructed of hook-and-loop fabric material. A first strap member has loop surfaces of the hook-and-loop fabric on its upper and lower sides, and the second strap member has first and second leg portions which define a gap for receiving the first strap member. The two legs of the second strap member have hook surfaces of the hook-and-loop fabric material thereon, for engaging the upper and lower sides of the first strap member when the latter is sandwiched between the two legs of the second strap member. The first strap member is preferably formed by folding a strip of the loop layer of the fabric back upon itself and bonding the two sides together while the second strap member is preferably formed by folding a strip of the hook layer of material so that the hook surfaces face one another. Sleeve portions at the folds provide connection points for attaching the wristwatch or other article.

摘要： A bracelet has a guide aperture at one end, a barb at the opposite end, and elongated holes running along its length. The barbed end can be pulled through the guide aperture and then twisted and inserted into an adjacent hole for being captured therein. The holes in the bracelet have rounded corners to enhance the flow of the polymeric material from which the bracelet is formed during an injection molding process and to alleviate the formation of stress points which otherwise occur at the corners of rectangular holes.

摘要： A cover for a wrist watch to protect the watch, watch crystal, and wrist band thereof. The watch cover comprises an elongated flexible strap member having a central opening therein, and a housing affixed to the strap member adjacent the opening. An opening in the housing is contiguously aligned with the strap opening to receive a secondary crystal therethrough, whereby the watch and watch crystal are positioned within the housing and secondary crystal, the elongated strap and housing having included thereon an ornamental sheath member defined by a decorative, soft, fabric-like material. An adjustable fastening device is mounted to the strap member so as to secure the protective watch cover around the entire wrist watch.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for making a laminated thermoplastic sheet from which can be cut one or more embossed straps having a loop at least at one end for receiving the cross-pin of a watch, buckle or the like. In a preferred method, a sandwich of an expanded thermoplastic layer and an unexpanded thermoplastic layer, for example, expanded polyvinyl chloride and unexpanded polyurethane, is subjected (a) to a flow molding step to not only bond the layers together but also to emboss the free surface of the expanded layer and form an elongated groove in at least the unexpanded layer, (b) to a folding step about the longitudinal axis of the groove to form a U-shaped second sandwich with the unexpanded layer pressed onto itself and with a loop at one end formed by the folded-over groove portion, (c) to a bonding step to bond the unexpanded layer to itself without closing the loop or distorting the embossed free surface of the expanded layer and (d) to a cutting step for producing the desired strap shape from the bonded second sandwich with the strap having the loop at one end in the as-cut position. Both the tongue and buckle portion of a watch strap can be thereby mass produced with appearance and feel closely resembling that of a natural leather strap.

The present process comprises charging a half-finished laminated sheet in a substantially closed press mold of silicone rubber and heating said mold under pressure in a high frequency dielectric device, the inner surfaces of said mold bearing complementary embossed patterns to those to be embossed on the surfaces of said laminated sheet, said laminated sheet having a peripheral contour substantially similar to the inner peripheral contour of the recess defined in said mold and including an expandable material layer of thermoplastic resin, the periphery of said laminated sheet being sealed by heating, and at least a top surface layer of said laminated sheet being composed of a material capable of being pressed against the inner surfaces of said recess to be embossed thereon during the heating.
