The vacuum cleaner includes a housing having a suction inlet and an air outlet, an airflow passage that extends from the air inlet to the air outlet, and a suction source disposed within the housing and operable to generate a suction airflow that travels through the air inlet and through the air outlet. The vacuum cleaner also includes a battery that supplies power to the suction source to generate the suction airflow. The carrier includes a main body in which at least a portion of the housing is received and a battery receiving portion configured to receive the battery therein when the battery supplies power to the suction source.

摘要： An extractor cleaning machine including a base or foot movable along a surface to be cleaned and a handle pivotally coupled to the foot for movement between an upright position and a reclined position. The handle includes a tank tray having an inlet and a drain. A channel communicates with the drain and extends away from the tank tray. A distributor communicates with the inlet and is operable to distribute cleaning fluid to the surface. A supply tank is removably coupled to the handle and has an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet when the supply tank is coupled to the handle. The supply tank is at least partially supported by the tank tray and the tank tray is configured to collect fluid spilt from the supply tank and to divert the fluid away from the tank tray by way of the channel.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a vacuum cleaner having a housing defining a blower port, an exhaust port, and a flow path between the blower port and the exhaust port. The vacuum cleaner also includes a removable cap assembly for the blower port to direct discharge airflow via the flow path to the exhaust port. The removable cap assembly, in turn, includes a cap head that engages the blower port to close the blower port, a cap body coupled to the cap head and inserted in the flow path, the cap body comprising a frame through which the discharge airflow passes, and a sound-influencing material supported by the frame within the flow path to reduce noise effected by the discharge airflow. The sound-influencing material may include a reticulated foam roll disposed in the frame to diffuse the discharge airflow.

摘要： A cleaner head for a cleaning appliance includes a housing having an upper surface and an underneath surface in which at least on suction opening is formed. The underneath surface has opposing side edges each having a first part which lies adjacent the suction opening or openings and forms a sharply-defined edge with the upper surface and an upwardly curved second part which is located rearwardly of the suction opening or openings. This arrangement is advantageously used in vacuum cleaners or other cleaning appliances in which a ball-type support allows an increased level of steerability involving lateral movement of the cleaner head across the surface to be cleaned. The upwardly curved side edges of the underneath surface of the cleaner head reduce the amount of effort required to achieve the steering by presenting a smoothly curved surface to the carpet or other floor covering.
