    摘要: A driveway reflector holder and installation tool assembly includes a reflector holder and an installation tool removably receivable in the reflector holder. The reflector holder includes a hollow sleeve body, a washer disposed on an upper end of the hollow sleeve body, and at least one retention feature disposed on the hollow sleeve body. The installation tool includes an elongated body, a head, and a tapered tip. The installation tool is configured to extend through the hollow sleeve body of the reflector holder with the head being positioned above the upper end of the hollow sleeve body and the tapered tip being positioned below the lower end of the hollow sleeve body. The installation tool is configured to be driven to insert the at least one reflector holder into a ground surface and then be removed from the at least one reflector holder.

A specific volume of the road adhesive may be dispensed by the system on the road surface, and a road stud placement assembly may automatically place a road stud in the dispensed adhesive. The stud placement system is operable to automatically dispense stud adhesive and place road studs in succession. According to certain embodiments, the placement system may be supported by a traffic safety vehicle, which enables the worker to automatically place the road studs while driving the vehicle.

    摘要: A device for placing individual road markers in desired configurations along a road surface comprises an application wheel having at least one aperture connected to a frame by an axle. The frame and application wheel are then connected to a trailer that is pulled along behind a pulling device. The apertures of the application wheel are dimensioned to receive a part of the road marker in a position tangential to the surface of the application wheel. As the application wheel rolls over the surface, the base portion of the marker contacts the road surface. An adhesive portion of the marker causes the base of the marker to become adhered to the road surface. As the application wheel continues to roll, the standing reflective portion of the marker is withdrawn from its position within aperture of the application wheel, and remains in a desired location upon the road surface.

    摘要: A raised road marker has a flat bottom surface with an outer periphery. At least one cavity opens onto the bottom surface laterally inwardly of the periphery and extends upwardly into the marker body. A venting groove extends along the bottom surface from the cavity to the periphery to provide a vent for air trapped in the cavity when the marker is urged into a pool of adhesive to secure the marker to a roadway. The venting of air provides a stronger bond between the marker and adhesive. For markers having a rounded top surface, there is preferably an indexing projection on the top surface and a complementary recess on the bottom surface. This enables interlocking of a plurality of markers in a vertical stack to prevent tilting of the markers.

    摘要: An installation head is mounted on a vehicle and moves along and adjacent to a roadway as the vehicle moves along the roadway. The head has a loading station at the bottom of a vertical loading chamber and a slide that slides along a floor to move markers out of the loading station into a setting station. A setting ram forces markers down onto adhesive prepositioned on the roadway. A plurality of heads may be positioned on the vehicle and may form opposite rows for simultaneously installing markers on opposite sides of a traffic lane. An indexed marker that interlocks with adjacent markers to prevent tilting may be used to maximize the reliability of the system. Various types of delivery devices may be used to deliver markers to the loading station. These include a delivery platform or carrousel positioned above the loading chamber to deliver markers down into the loading chamber. They also include a collating tape that delivers markers into the loading chamber through a side opening.
