    Abstract: A construction block 1, which can be used to build ornamental structures, wall boards, decorative coatings etc., includes a front face 2, a back face 3 and edges 4. Each edge has a projection 5 and a recess 6. The projection includes a claw 7 on both sides of the projection 5, and the recess includes a notch 8 on both sides of the recess 6. The projection matches with the recess in order to connect the construction block 1 to a similar construction block. The construction block includes also a wheel 9 that has wedges 11 for each edge 4 of the construction block. The wedge 11 locks the connection between the construction block 1 and the similar construction lock when turning the wheel 9.

    Abstract: A flooring system includes polymeric modular floor tiles and at least one polymeric expansion joint. The modular floor tiles are affixed to each other, and to first and second expansion bodies of the expansion joint, by mating first and second connectors. The first and second expansion bodies each have interdigitated fingers and channels that extend underneath the expansion body web. The fingers of one expansion body slide in and out of the channels in the other, accommodating the thermal expansion and contraction of the modular floor tiles proximately or remotely joined to the expansion joint.

    Abstract: A plastic floor plank includes an elongated bottom layer and a rectangular top layer. The bottom layer includes two opposite long sides and two opposite short sides. One long side includes tongues, and the other long side includes grooves opposing the tongues. The tongue is substantially complimentary to the groove. The rectangular top layer has a top surface provided with a wood grain design. The top layer has substantially the same size as the bottom layer when the tongues along one side of the bottom layer are cut. The top layer has an adhesive bottom surface bonded with a top surface of the bottom layer to laminate the top layer and the bottom layer together. In an installation, the tongues of one floor plank are inserted into the grooves of the other floor plank, and a gap is formed between the tongue and the groove.

    Abstract: A decking system that consists of a clip that complements a slot in deck planks to securely fasten the deck planks to a substrate such as deck or floor joists, masonry, concrete, wood or any other substrate. Generally, the clips fit into slots cut or formed into the side deck surface boards or alternatively into a keyhole on the bottom of the plank. In one of the preferred embodiments a series of clips are fastened to the substrate with a fastener such as a screw. The clips mechanically grip the plank to secure the plank to the deck joists. Ridges and/or nubs on the clips reduce the occurrence of rot or discoloration of the planks.

    Abstract: A modular wood flooring system comprising a plurality of multi-layer flooring sections, provided in pre-measured sectional units and adapted for rapid installation is disclosed. Each flooring section includes a resilient bottom layer, an intermediate sub-floor layer, and a top wood flooring layer. The ends of adjoining sections are staggered to avoid the appearance of a straight line seam. Each flooring section further includes a top edge portion adapted with a recessed latching mechanism to allow the sections to be mechanically connected. A first flooring section is adapted with a male latch member and a second flooring section is adapted with a female latch receiving member for receiving the male latch member of an adjoining first flooring section. The latching mechanism is recessed into an opening formed in the intermediate plywood sub-floor layer and configured so as to be generally flush therewith to permit the latch to be covered by a portion of wood flooring laterally projecting from an adjacent flooring section. The latching mechanism is manually configurable between latched and un-latched configurations without requiring tools.
