    摘要: The invention relates, in general, to couplings for the connection of lines, such as, in particular, flexible lines, to one another or for the coupling of flexible lines to fittings. For this purpose, a quick-action coupling (1) for coupling together fluid-conducting lines is described, which comprises a first coupling part (3) and a second coupling part (5), as well as a seal (7) for sealing the two coupling parts (3, 5) and a locking mechanism (9) in order to couple together the two coupling parts (3, 5) in a releasable manner. The two coupling parts (3, 5) are equipped with valve arrangements (11, 13). Each of the two valves (11, 13)* comprises an axially displaceable valve (15, 17), with the valve (15) of the first valve arrangement (11) having an opening (150), in which a plunger (152) is mounted so as to move axially. In the state in which the coupling parts (3, 5) are coupled together, the plunger (152) keeps the two valves (15, 17) apart from each other. The plunger (152) can be locked by means of a catch device (110). The locking mechanism (9) is operatively connected to the catch device (110), so that, when the locking mechanism (9) is actuated for decoupling the two coupling parts (3, 5) that are coupled to each other, before disconnection of the coupling parts, the catch of the plunger (152) is released and the two valves (15, 17) are brought together with the respective valve seat (19, 21).

    摘要: A quick pressure reducer and cylinder valve or use with an SCA includes a cylinder valve that connects to a pressure vessel, a pressure reduction assembly for reducing the pressure of breathing air provided by the pressure vessel, a probe, and an inlet/latch assembly. The probe includes a notch and a threadless probe tip, and the inlet/latch includes a corresponding, receptacle and one or mom latches adapted to fit into the notch to retain the probe in the receptacle. A pushbutton switch in the receptacle is triggered by insertion of the probe tip therein, thereby providing an electrical signal. Probes of different sizes may be used to correspond to different pressure capacities, and the inlet/latch assembly may be arranged either to permit the insertion of only probe size or may be arranged to accept both sizes but to function differently based on the size of the probe. The latches are inoperable except at or below a nominal pressure.

    摘要: A removable hydrant nozzle with a locking arrangement for securing the nozzle in a nozzle opening. The locking arrangement includes an axially movable slide configured to selectively engage a portion of the hydrant adjacent the nozzle opening, such as a lug mouth in a quarter-turn fitting. The slide is mounted to a slide housing and is spring loaded. In use, the slide automatically retracts as the nozzle is inserted into the nozzle opening and automatically extends into locking engagement with the mouth when the nozzle becomes fully seated. Once engaged, the slide prevents removal of the nozzle until manually disengaged. The slide may be movably mounted on a pair of shoulder bolts. The slide may include a paddle that extends outwardly where it is accessible to the operator. The nozzle may include a handle and a seal fitted onto the inner axial end of the nozzle.
