A color image-forming process which comprises developing, after imagewise exposure, a color photographic paper having at least one light-sensitive layer containing a core/shell surface latent image type monodispersed silver halide emulsion containing substantially no silver iodide, having a silver chloride content of up to 80 mol %, and having a silver bromide content in the shell portion lower than in the core portion with a color developer containing substantially no benzyl alcohol.When the color photographic paper described above is processed, color images having less fog can be obtained with high color density in a short time without using benzyl alcohol as a development accelerator, with the benzyl alcohol causing a pollution problem.

A color photographic element has a reflective support and a blue light sensitive color record, a green light sensitive color record, and a red light sensitive color record and can be used to provide color photographic prints. The element also has a non-light sensitive layer over the red light sensitive color record. This non-light sensitive layer has (1) a hydrophilic colloid in an amount of at least 200 mg/m2 to and including 2,000 mg/m2, (2) matte particles, and (3) an acrylate latex polymer having latex particles having an average size of less than 1 μm and a glass transition temperature of at least 70° C. The dry weight ratio of the acrylate latex polymer to the hydrophilic colloid is at least 0.8:1 and the dry weight ratio of the acrylate latex polymer to the total matte particles is at least 15:1.

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material, having photographic constituting layers including, on a support, at least one blue-sensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion, at least one green-sensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion, at least one red-sensitive layer containing a silver halide emulsion, and at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer, in which a silver chloride content is 95 mol % or more and a silver iodide content is from 0.05 to 0.3 mol % in the silver halide emulsion of the red-sensitive layer, and in which the difference between spectral sensitivities at wavelength of 685 nm and 590 nm is from 1.2 to 2.5 log E or the difference between spectral sensitivities at wavelength of 660 nm and 590 nm is 0.8 to 2.0 log E, for a distribution of the spectral sensitivities when the material is exposed to lights equal in energy at each wavelength.
