A method of color image formation is disclosed, comprising imagewise exposing a color photographic light-sensitive material comprising a reflective support having provided thereon at least one light-sensitive layer containing a color coupler capable of forming a color image upon coupling with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent and a silver halide emulsion, and processing the exposed light-sensitive material with a color developing solution containing substantially no benzyl alcohol within a development time of 2 minutes and 30 seconds, wherein said processing is carried out in the pressence of at least one compound represented by formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, an acyl group, or a sulfonyl group; or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 together form a ring; X represents a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkylene group; and n represents an integer of from 1 to 4. There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material comprising a silver halide emulsion of high-silver chloride emulsion wherein a thiosulfonic compound represented by formula (I) and a sulfinic acid compound represented by formula (II) are added in the step of the production of said emulsion followed by sulfur sensitization. The disclosure described provides a silver halide color photographic material less in fogging due to the lapse of time after preparation of the emulsion for coating and less in fogging due to rapid development processing.

A novel color diffusion transfer photographic material comprising (A) a light-sensitive element comprising a first support having thereon at least a silver halide photographic emulsion layer and a dye providing compound, (B) an image receiving element comprising a second support having thereon at least an image receiving layer and (C) means for providing an alkaline treating solution between element (A) and (B), wherein(i) the swollen film thickness of said light-sensitive element (A) is from about 10 .mu.m after being contacted with water at 25.degree. C. for 5 minutes;(ii) the swollen film thickness of said image receiving element (B) is from about 10 .mu.m to 40 .mu.m after being contacted with 0.1N KOH aqueous solution at 25.degree.C for 3 minutes; and(iii) said means for providing an alkaline treating solution provides an average thickness of said treating solution between element (A) and (B) during development of from about 40 .mu.m to 80 .mu.m.The present photographic materials provide a sharp image having sufficient density with reduced density mottle and air bubbles.

There is disclosed a silver halide color photographic material having (A) a red-sensitive, (B) a green-sensitive, and (C) a blue sensitive silver halide emulsion layers, wherein the silver halide emulsion of each layer is a high-silver-chloride emulsion, and the silver halide emulsions of the red-sensitive and blue-sensitive layers is spectrally sensitized in the blue light region within a range satisfying specific relationships. Further two or more silver halide emulsions are mixed so that the gammas of the (A) red-sensitive and the (B) green-sensitive layers in the photosensitive region of the blue-sensitive layer may be in a limited range. The disclosure as described provides a silver halide color photographic material which can form a color image giving a stereoscopic feeling that can reproduce bright primary colors less in turbidity over the range from the low-density part to the high-density part, and which can produce fully the high-density region of primary colors with subtle shades.
