Abstract:
A method for user management and a power plant control system for a power plant system are disclosed. The power plant control system has a central server communicatively coupled for managing a plurality of local servers that further manage one or more entities of the power plant system. The central server has user roles. One or more roles are assigned to a user to enable the user to perform one or more tasks defined in the respective user roles on the one or more entities. A list of user roles assigned to the user is provided to a specific local server for enabling the authentication of the user for performing the tasks defined in the user roles on the specific local server.
Abstract:
A control device for a mobile storage system includes a data entry device, such as a numeric keypad. The user enters an access code on the keypad, and the access code is compared against a data table including a list of security levels associated with access codes. If the access code entered is included in the data table, the user is permitted to control the mobile storage system according to the access rights granted by the security level associated with the access code. Each of the access codes and attempted commands entered in the numeric keypad are recorded in an activity log. The activity log is downloadable to a computer for later review.
Abstract:
To provide a substrate processing system which can cause different display portions to output different displays, and cause different operations to be carried out from different operation screens. A substrate processing system, on login information of a user being input from a main display device, refers to the login information, a user group parameter, with which is set a group to which the user belongs, and an authority parameter, which sets an authority of the group, and causes the main display device to display a main operation screen corresponding to the user, while it, on login information of a user being input from an external operating apparatus, causes an external display device to display an external parameter setting screen for setting an authority parameter of a group to which the user belongs, or to display an external operation screen corresponding to the group to which the user belongs.
Abstract:
There is described an automation network, a remote access server for an automation network and a method for transmission of operating data between an automation system with one or more automation devices and a remote computer with the operating data of the automation device being transmitted via the Internet or an intranet and displayed and/or changed on the remote computer by an Internet browser. The remote access server provides the operating data for the remote computer and, for a session-oriented access, creates a software object as an image of the automation device and, if changes are to be made to the operating data by the access, a software object for simulation of the automation device and/or of the process to be controlled by the automaton device, so that any changes can be checked for permissibility and/or validity before being forwarded to the automation device.
Abstract:
A system for communicating with a motion control system, comprising a set of motion operations, a set of functions, a set of security levels, and client software. The functions are capable of causing the motion control system to perform at least one motion operation. The client software is capable of calling at least one of the functions. The ability of the client software to call at least one of the functions is restricted based on at least one of the security levels.

Abstract:
A system and method for changing safety-relevant data for a control device is provided wherein an authorized user inputs new or altered safety-relevant data, which is received on a data processing installation. A first checksum for the safety-relevant data is established and stored along with the safety-relevant data in at least one data record on the data processing installation. An enable code may also be stored in the at least one data record. This enable code may be produced by a code generator and encrypted by a key module. The data processing installation then reads back the safety-relevant data from a memory in the data processing installation, thereby allowing a comparison of the received safety-relevant data and the read back safety-relevant data. A second checksum is generated in a case where the comparison resulted in no differences. The second checksum may also be stored in the at least one data record. At least one new data record containing the safety-relevant data, the encrypted enable code and the first and second checksums is created and transmitted to the control device. The new data record is checked against prior data records and prior checksums stored on a storage medium to determine that the at least one new data record is known to the control device.
Abstract:
An industrial automation system comprises a security access device, an industrial automation device, a user interface, and a security interface. The user interface is configured to provide a user with access to data stored inside the industrial automation device. The security interface is configured to receive information from the access device and, based on the information received from the access device, to provide authorization for the user to access the data stored inside the industrial automation device using the user interface.
Abstract:
A plant monitor-control apparatus includes a control device which controls a to-be-controlled device of a plant, an operation/monitor device which delivers an operation instruction to the plant, operates the plant via the control device and monitors the plant, and a user skill level management device which manages respective user skill levels and determines an operation authority corresponding to each user skill level.
Abstract:
An input unit for a field device, has a registering unit for an electronic identifier of a user, which enables a definite identification of the user.
