    摘要: A process fluid regulator includes a regulator body having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet connected by a fluid flow path. A control element is disposed within the fluid flow path, the control element cooperating with a seat to control fluid flow through the regulator body. An actuator is attached to the regulator body, the actuator providing force to move the control element relative to the seat. The actuator includes a housing and a diaphragm within the housing, the diaphragm dividing the actuator housing into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. A high pressure bleed valve is attached to the lower chamber to vent residual gas from the lower chamber, which creates additional volume for process liquid in the lower chamber. This additional volume improves effectiveness and response time of the process fluid regulator.

    摘要: A modulating relief valve comprising a main relief valve and a dome pressure control system. The main relief valve has an inlet subject to system pressure, an outlet, a valve member normally sealing the inlet, a piston that rises and falls wit the valve member, and a dome adjacent to the piston, the dome having a dome pressure. The dome pressure control system is attached to the main relief valve. In one embodiment, the dome pressure control system has a body, a beam inside the body attached to the body at a pivot point, an input pressure module creating a first force on the beam, the first force being related to the system pressure and tending to rotate the beam in a first direction, a mechanism for setting a set-point pressure, the set-point pressure creating a second force on the beam, tending to rotate the beam in a second direction opposite the first direction, a control valve that exerts an additional force on the beam tending to rotate the beam in the first direction, the additional force having one component that is related to the dome pressure, the control valve allowing dome pressure to be exhausted when the beam is rotated in the first direction thereby allowing the main valve member to open, and the control valve allowing system pressure to pressurize the dome when the beam is rotated in the second direction. In another embodiment, the dome pressure control system further includes a negative feedback system. In another embodiment, the dome pressure control system does not include a beam and is instead configured in a stacked arrangement.

    摘要: An integrated pneumatic pressure regulator assembly including a housing having an inlet adapted for fluid communication with a supply of pneumatic pressure, an outlet adapted for fluid communication with at least one pneumatically actuated device and an exhaust port. A pilot regulator valve is in fluid communication with the inlet and is operable to provide a pilot pressure. A pilot operated regulator valve is also provided in fluid communication with the inlet and the outlet. The pilot operated regulator valve is responsive to the pilot pressure to regulate the supply pressure from the inlet to a predetermined system pressure delivered through the outlet to a pneumatically actuated device during normal operation. An adjustable flow valve in fluid communication with the outlet is responsive to pilot pressure during initial actuation of a pneumatically actuated device to increase the pressure delivered to the outlet at a predetermined rate until the pressure at the outlet has substantially reached the predetermined system pressure. An exhaust valve is in fluid communication with the outlet and is operable to exhaust the system pressure through the exhaust port during shutdown of the pneumatically actuated device.

    摘要: A fluid metering system comprises a source of pressurized fluid, a proportional metering valve and a delta-p regulator, which maintains a constant pressure drop across the proportional metering valve. The delta-p regulator is referenced to the static pressure upstream of the metering valve and the stagnation pressure downstream of the metering valve. By referencing the stagnation pressure downstream of the metering valve, the effective static pressure across the metering valve increases as a function of fluid flow rate and therefore provides an increased flow range and corresponding turndown ratio for any given proportional metering valve.

    摘要: In a refrigeration system there is provided a main valve that has its inlet port fluidly connected to an evaporator while its outlet port is fluidly connected to the suction port of a motor-compressor. The closing of the main valve is controlled by an auxiliary valve, the auxiliary valve being connected in an auxiliary line that at one end opens to the gas port of a condenser or to a line between the condenser and the motor compressor. The auxiliary valve is connected in the auxiliary line in series with a fixed throttle and is downstream of the throttle. The closure member of the auxiliary valve opens on an increase in the evaporator pressure. A check valve, for example a two way magnetic valve, is connected between the auxiliary valve and the suction port. An auxiliary chamber, when the auxiliary valve is in an open condition establishes an open fluid flow path from the evaporator to the magnetic valve, the pressure in the auxiliary chamber acting against the main valve closure member for urging it toward its closed condition.
