Abstract:
An information processing apparatus has a plurality of recording media, and includes an imaging unit operable to capture an image of a subject, and a recording unit operable to record image data of the captured image onto the recording media such that the amounts of recorded image data differ between the recording media. The same image data is recorded onto at least a first recording medium built in the apparatus and a second recording medium removable from the apparatus such that the amount of data recorded on the first medium is smaller than that recorded on the second medium. In this information processing apparatus, a user can view images captured previously with more ease because image data recorded on the first recording medium is sorted by date and is provided to the user in this state.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the invention, a camera determines whether to acquire an image (e.g., automatically), determines whether to store the acquired image, and determines how to store the acquired image.
Abstract:
Charging of a camera 100 and backup of data are concurrently executed to enable picking up an image regardless of a remaining available memory. As the camera 100 is attached to a cradle 200, image data for the image picked up by a camera module 110 of the camera 100 is directly transferred to and recorded in a HDD 220 of the cradle 200. Image data, already recorded in the flash memory 133 of the camera 100, is backed up by the HDD 220 of the cradle 200. Further, the cradle 200 allows a charging circuit 204 to charge a rechargeable battery of the camera 100 using electric power supplied via an AC cord 280. Also, the cradle 200 has a tripod bore 270 through which the camera is fixed to a tripod for picking up the image.
Abstract:
A controller of a data processing apparatus recognizes connection of a USB memory to a USB terminal. The controller reads designation information stored in the USB memory. The designation information specifies a process to be executed by the data processing apparatus. The controller outputs an instruction for executing a process specified by the designation information to each portion of the data processing apparatus, such as a scanner portion or a printer portion, based on the designation information.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including an acquisition unit configured to acquire log data recording operation of the image forming apparatus, a first storage unit configured to store the acquired log data in a volatile memory, a calculation unit configured to calculate a total size of the log data stored in the volatile memory, a determination unit configured to determine whether the calculated total size of the log data has reached a threshold value, a second storage unit configured to store the log data from the first storage unit when the total size of the log data in the first storage unit has reached the threshold value, and a changing unit configured to change the threshold value according to an operation state of the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
An image-recording device comprises a recording processor that records a common still image on a plurality of recording media, respectively, which are detachably mounted on the image-recording device. A common unique data is recorded together with the still image on the plurality of recording media in a photographing operation, respectively. In a displaying operation for the still image, the unique data is read out from the plurality of recording media. When the read-out unique data coincide with one another, the image-recording device displays record information indicating that the read-out unique data are identical.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes: an input section which inputs image data; a memory section which memorizes non-volatily various data including image data inputted by the input section; a cache memory; a control section which carries out an asynchronous operation which writes data to the cache memory in stead of writing to the memory section as well as carries out a sync processing which transfers and stores the data of the cache memory to the memory section based on a predetermined condition; and a detecting section which detects a preparation for carrying out a shut down operation of a power of the image processing apparatus, wherein the control section carries out the sync processing in case when the preparation operation is detected by the detecting section.
Abstract:
When image shooting is performed in a mode that records plural images in response to a single shooting instruction and deletion is instructed on a shot-image confirmation screen that displays the shot image data immediately after the shooting, the plural image data generated by the same shooting instruction are all collectively deleted. On the contrary, in a playback mode, when deletion is instructed to one of the plural image data shot by the same shooting instruction, only the one image that has been instructed for deletion is deleted. This feature improves usability of the image sensing apparatus capable of recording plural images in response to a single shooting instruction.
Abstract:
An image capture device using a memory array that is directly addressed and non-volatile is disclosed. The memory array can be used to replace and emulate multiple memory types such as DRAM, SRAM, non-volatile RAM, a non-volatile memory card, and FLASH memory, for example. The memory array may be randomly accessed. Data stored in the memory array is retained in the absence of electrical power. One or more memory arrays may be used in the image capture device. At least one of the memory arrays may be in the form of a removable memory card.
Abstract:
A memory card holder in which different types of memory cards are compatible, and a digital image processing apparatus using the memory card slot. The memory card holder and digital image processing apparatus each includes: a plurality of memory card accommodating units that are formed at a predetermined angle from each other and share a predetermined space to accommodate memory cards of different standards; and connecting ports that are formed on one side of each of the plurality of memory card accommodating units. The digital image processing apparatus has a storage medium, such as a removable memory card of a predetermined standard, in which is stored an image of a subject that is photographed and converted into digital signals.
