    摘要： An arrangement to releasably secure each of the two doors of a utility carrier box mounted transversely behind the cab of a pick-up vehicle and on the side walls of the pick-up, the arrangement comprising staples secured to the end walls of the box below the end flanges of the doors when the doors are in closed position, and a steep strap extending from below one staple, over the top of the closed box and down to a point beyond the other staple, and in conformity with the surface of the closed box over which the strap means extends, each end of the strap being slotted to enable the link of the staple beyond which it extends to be passed through the slot and to receive the link of a padlock which is locked.

    摘要： A highly tamper-resistant lock for attachment to an electric meter box, as a supplement to other locking means, if any, or a replacement therefor, the lock having one part secured to the box and a separable part adapted to be locked in engagement with the first part and in a position to prevent separation of the parts to project in front of the meter box cover to prevent opening thereof. The part secured to the box includes a reinforcement member having at least one wing piece which engages a portion of the separable part in the locked position to prevent tilting of the separable part by prying. The lock for the separable part is shown as a plunger type lock, to be inserted in a deep tubular chamber.

    摘要： A locking structure for assembly onto existing electric meter boxes or the like, said structure comprising a bushing for mounting onto the box cover and an apertured bracket for mounting inside the box so that the bracket aperture is aligned with the bushing. The structure is intended to receive a locking cylinder of the type having an enlarged head and an elongated body portion with expansible locking balls near the end remote from the head, and the parts are dimensioned and positioned to retain the cover tightly closed when the locking cylinder is assembled. The bushing completely encloses the head of the locking cylinder so that the other end of the cylinder is recessed in the bushing. Apertures may be provided in opposite sides of the forward end of the bushing to receive a seal transversely across the bushing, so that the locking member cannot be removed without rupturing the seal.
