摘要： A flat bed screen printing machine wherein the material to be printed is movable in stepwise fashion with or relative to an assembly including a flat bed at one side and a screen at the opposite side of the path for the material. The material moves with the assembly during application of paste and moves slowly relative to the assembly while the latter moves rearwardly to its starting position. The slow movement of the material serves to move its passer marks to optimum positions with reference to a detector. One or more squeegees are adjacent the screen. The squeegee(s) are mounted on the assembly for movement relative to the screen.

摘要： A stencil printing apparatus for printing a workpiece web at a printing station has a support on which the workpiece web is to be located so that a pattern can be printed on it in a plurality of successive printing operations. A magazine is located above the support at the printing station and accommodates a plurality of vertically stacked flat-screen stencils, and an arrangement is provided for serially withdrawing some or all of the stencils from the magazine, moving them to printing position above the workpiece web, and then returning them serially back to the magazine.

摘要： This disclosure is directed to a pallet type screen printing machine in which a pallet is indexed to a printing station when an article supported thereon is screen printed. A feed table with guides is cooperatively disposed relative to the pallet at a feed station to facilitate the accurate positioning of a work piece onto the pallet. The machine comprises an endless drive for effecting movement of one or more pallets to and from a printing station in an endless path whereby the face of the pallet is always maintained in a face up position. The pallet is formed to define a vacuum chamber which is operatively connected to a source for drawing a negative pressure thereon. A flexible coupling operatively connects the pallet to the endless drive to permit limited movement of the pallet so that the pallet may be brought into accurate registration with the printing head at the printing station. Registration of the pallet in the printing station is effected by a locating cam and a cooperatively associated cam follower, which when activated, will effect the required alignment and registration of the pallet with the printing head.

摘要： An improved conveying means for feeding and removing sheet stock to and from a selected area for printing or the like. The conveying means is inexpensively formed from an endless belt of monofilament polyester mesh which moves across a vacuum base disposed beneath a printing head. The mesh functions as a conveying means and is supported by the vacuum base during printing. The mesh size is fine enough to permit the printing of high quality thin paper stock without discernible mesh marks appearing after printing is complete. Vacuum is applied to the underside of the stock to be printed through the mesh from a known type of vacuum base with sufficient force generated to hold the sheet stock properly positioned during printing and feeding. The mesh is of the order of from about 140 to 300 threads per inch. In another embodiment of the invention, the vacuum belt principle is shown in another form wherein it functions as a take-off conveyor which functions to assist in holding the stock during printing. A small manifold functions as a belt guide and is all that is required to pull the stock onto the conveyor.
