摘要： A hitch pin assembly for securing a shank member to a hitch receiver tube to minimize relative motion between the shank member and receiver tube, comprising an elongated pin having a threaded portion, a threaded nut, an elastomer piece, and a shank member which are mated for tightened engagement compressing the elastomer piece so as to firmly engage the receiver tube. The shank member may include a slot for a corresponding threaded nut and elastomer piece so when the pin is tightened, the nut compresses the elastomer against the interior wall of the shank surface and upwardly, thereby restraining movement of the threaded nut and dampening movement of the shank inside the hitch receiver tube.

摘要： The problem of storing a ball mount when not engaged in a receiver hitch opening is solved by a ball mount storage bracket. A ball mount storage bracket can attach around the neck of a receiver hitch and be oriented towards or away from the vehicle. The shank of the ball mount can be seated in the storage bracket and secured with the same pin and bolt that holds the ball mount in the receiver hitch. The storage bracket can be secured with a single U-bolt or similar type of connector, which makes it useful even if the rest of the receiver hitch is inaccessible.

The hitch mount may also include first and second biasing members operatively engaged with the first and second fastening, the biasing members applying a load against the under bed hitch mounting system, and first and second handles pivotally and rotatably attached with the first and second fastening devices, the handles having a camming surface configured to engage the first and second biasing members.

摘要： A chain attachment insert has a body with a flat underside, and provides an open loop chain attachment for receiving a chain or hook in a socket in the bed of a truck. A T-bolt portion of the chain attachment insert is received in the socket. A hole through the body extends parallel to the axis of rotation defined by the T-bolt portion, and an interference peg is vertically slidable into the hole after rotation of the chain attachment insert relative to the socket. The interference peg then rests with a portion of the interference peg in the socket to interfere with and prevent the chain attachment insert from rotating relative to the socket. A lock secures the interference peg within the hole in the body.

摘要： A container transport system includes a gooseneck assembly for towing by a medium duty truck and a dolly for supporting the weight of an intermodal freight container. The gooseneck assembly includes a pair of platforms each configured to support a corner casting of the transported intermodal freight container and having a post matingly received through a bottom orifice of the supported corner casting. A hoist assembly is provided to lift an end of the intermodal freight container for placing the container on the dolly or removing the container from the dolly. A pair of barrel slide bolt assemblies is provided for securing the intermodal freight container in place atop the platforms. In order to facilitate placement of the dolly beneath the freight container, the dolly also includes a gin pole assembly, which is stowable in a recess so as to not interfere with placement of the container.
