    摘要: A motion generating system for propelling and/or lifting a craft exploiting explosive and implosive processes, whereby a propulsive or lifting force on the craft arises from two sources: generation of a stream of fluids which imparts thrust to the craft; and generation of zones of reduced pressure and density in front of and above the craft allowing the craft to be thrust forward and lifted by ambient pressure on the rear and underside of the craft. Furthermore, reduction of fluid density in front of the craft results in a reduction of frontal drag allowing the attainment of higher speeds. The motion generating system may have other applications; for example, the motion generating system may be used to propel a stream of liquid in the manner of a pump.

    摘要: A rotatable member is adapted for dynamic balancing by the addition of balancing weights in the form of high speed projectiles fired at the member during rotation in timed relationship with the rotation of the member so as to impact the member at specific circumaxial locations required for balancing the member. The member has an annular groove for receiving the projectiles and securing the same at the desired locations. The groove has a cross sectional configuration slightly smaller than that of the projectile in at least one direction of measurement so as to engage and capture the projectile in retention in the groove.

The symmetrical blade can be rotated in a direction orthogonal to the direction of flow and orthogonal to the bending of the symmetrical blade. The rigid portion may comprise metal, wood, and plastic. The flexible portion may comprise plastic and rubber. The symmetrical blade may comprise a pear-shaped blade or a rectangular-shaped blade.

    摘要: A seagoing boat is driven by at least two rudder propellers and has a hull for transporting cargo or passengers. The rudder propellers are preferably embodied as electric rudder propellers. The hull has an approximately rectangular cross section amidships, to which flow-directing bodies are connected. A flow channel is configured between said skegs, the flow channel being embodied in a wedge-shaped manner with a continuous, preferably slightly bent enlargement in the direction of the bottom astern. The side walls of the flow channel are configured at least in part as even surfaces and taper off in the form of fin-shaped teeth having water displacement volume. The streaming effect of the flow channel generates a low boat resistance. The influence of the flow channel on the wake has a positive effect on the propulsion efficiency.
