摘要: The present invention is one that intends to achieve improvements in both analysis efficiency and analysis accuracy without difficulty, and a biological substance analysis device that analyzes light derived from a biological substance in a sample, and the biological substance analysis device includes: a holder that holds multiple containers containing the sample; a photodetector that is fixed at a predetermined position; a holder driving mechanism that moves the holder to position each of the containers held in the holder at a detection position by the photodetector in sequence; and a light shielding mechanism that, while guiding light emitted from the sample in a container at the detection position to the photodetector, prevents light emitted from the sample in the other containers from being guided to the photodetector.

摘要: A method to calibrate measurements of a test analyte in a test sample including measuring at least one test-light level responsive to reactions of at least one reagent group and at least one reactive test analyte in the test sample and measuring at least one control-light level responsive to reactions of at least one reagent group and at least one control analyte in a control sample. Each control analyte is a known amount of at least one reactive test analyte. The method further includes determining a presence of the reactive test analyte in the test sample based on the measured test-light levels and control-light levels. The reagent group and the reactive test analyte react by attaching to each other.

摘要: An optofluidic diagnostic system and methods for rapid analyte detections. The system comprises an optofluidic sensor array, a test plate and an optical detection cartridge. The sensor array supports one or more distinct sensor units, each having a reactor section designed to temporarily enter a series of different kinds of wells in the test plate. One kind of well is a sample reservoir that holds reagent solution to be transferred into the reactor section. Another kind of well is a drainage chamber that removes reagent solution from the reactor section. A third kind of well is a colorant reservoir that holds a colorant reagent transferable into a reactor section. Finally, the sensor unit is transferred to the optical detection cartridge where it is placed into an isolation booth during the optical detection process so that its flat observation face is stationed in a viewing window opposite an optical detector lens.

摘要: In a chemiluminescence type nitrogen oxide concentration meter, a mixed gas of air with its moisture adsorbed by an adsorption apparatus and air that through a fifth flow path without the adsorption apparatus in between is flown into an ozone generator. Therefore, ozone can be generated using air of proper humidity in the ozone generator 7. As a result, ozone can be efficiently generated while suppressing occurrence of metal contamination in the ozone generator 7. Then, in the reaction unit 8, nitrogen oxides in the sample gas are made to appropriately show chemiluminescence using the ozone, and in the detector 9, the intensity of light generated in the reaction unit 8 is detected. Furthermore, in the control unit 10, the concentration of nitrogen oxides in the sample gas is measured, based on the intensity of light detected by the detector 9.

摘要: The invention includes methods and kits for the detection of a virus that may be in a sample. In embodiments, the invention includes a method of detecting a virus in a sample by forming a reaction mixture exposing an aliquot of the sample purportedly containing a virus to an immobilized receptor. A soluble receptor including a detectable label is added to the reaction mixture. A washing step washes the immobilized receptor, and the detectable label is detected.
