摘要: A method and system for displaying an image in a communication thread accessible to a first and second user are disclosed, including receiving an indication of a selection of a first image by the first user for display in the communication thread, analyzing user attribute settings of the first user or the second user to determine if at least one of the first user or the second user has a user attribute setting corresponding to a customizable aspect of the selected first image, and causing, based on the analyzing, in different first and second modes, one of the selected first image or a modified image based on the selected first image to be displayed in the communication thread.

摘要: Techniques for minimizing data flow from a first computing infrastructure hosting an email service platform to a second computing infrastructure at least partly hosting an email security platform that provides security analysis on emails of the email service. The email security platform may extract metadata from emails received at the first computing infrastructure, and send that metadata to the second computing infrastructure that is hosting a back end of the email service platform. The metadata extracted from the emails may include less confidential contained in an email, but enough information for the email security platform to determine whether an email is potentially malicious. Thus, the security analysis performed on emails to detect malicious attacks may be offloaded to the second computing infrastructure, but the metadata that leaves the first computing infrastructure and flows to the second computing infrastructure may be minimized by extracting meaningful metadata.

摘要: A system uses a keyboard application to encrypt and decrypt e-mail, messages, and other digital data. By using quantum random number generators, the system has improved data security. Using a quantum random number, an agent (at a sender side) generates an encryption key which is used to automatically encrypt a message. The encryption key is stored at a key server. The encrypted message will be sent by an application using its standard transmission means such as SMTP, SMS, and others. The encrypted message can be automatically unencrypted by using an agent (at a recipient side) and retrieving the key from the key server. The system also provides an optional double encryption, where the message is encrypted with a user-generated password before being encrypted using the encryption key.

摘要: Exemplary embodiments relate to techniques for improving the speed and rendering quality of an image (e.g., a JPEG), particularly in an end-to-end encrypted environment. The image may be analyzed on the sending-client side and the image data may be broken into a thumbnail and a full-quality image, where the full-quality image data relies on the thumbnail data to render a high-quality image. The image is uploaded to a blob store, and a message is sent to the receiving client with image information. At the recipient side, the JPEG image data is retrieved from the blob store and the thumbnail is first rendered. Subsequently, as the remainder of the image data is received at the receiving client, the image is updated. Consequently, images are rendered faster, and the thumbnail can be automatically downloaded so that a user can determine if they wish to download the full image.

An electronic message having an address based upon the unique identifier and consistent with an assigned convention is sent from a portable device and received by a server system. Upon receipt at the server system, the message and any attachments are stored in association with a profile corresponding to the unique identifier.
