    Abstract: A nucleate boiling apparatus is disclosed that includes a base configured to fit onto a heat-producing object to provide immersion cooling to the object in a liquid-cooled computing environment. The apparatus further includes first and second pluralities of pipes extending from opposite sides of the base. Each of the first and second pluralities of pipes including a respective transition region and a respective flat region. The first and second pluralities of pipes in the transition regions extend away and up from the base, and the first and second pluralities of pipes in the flat regions extend away from the base in a fanned-out arrangement. The flat region of the second plurality of pipes is at a greater distance from the base than the flat region of the first plurality of pipes.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a system for providing substantially 180 degrees, or more, of rotation between a sheet metal door mounted on a sheet metal sidewall of a chassis, relative to the chassis. The system includes a first and a second shaft passing through a module positioned between the door and the sidewall, whereby the door rotates about the two shafts, where the two shafts are not axially aligned. The chassis may hold sleds of a server, and the door may further comprise multiple linking modules, such that the sleds are coupled to the linking modules when the door is in a closed position, and the sleds are slid home within the chassis.

    Abstract: A computing system includes a chassis and a cage. The chassis includes one or more locking hooks. The cage includes a handlebar, a bar-linkage assembly, and a crank coupled to both the handlebar and the bar-linkage assembly. Rotating the handlebar from an unlocked position to a locked position lowers the cage relative to the chassis until the cage is locked in the one or more locking hooks of the chassis.

    Abstract: A mounting system is disclosed that includes a bracket configured to mount an object on a structure. The bracket includes a front panel, two side panels extending from the front panel, and a plurality of slots. Each slot is configured to accept a projection connected to the object and retain the projection within the slot. The bracket further includes a plurality of apertures. The mounting system further includes a retainer configured to extend into the bracket through the plurality of apertures and prevent, at least in part, the plurality of projections, retained by the bracket in the plurality of slots, from being withdrawn from the plurality of slots.

    Abstract: A cooling device for a computing system is disclosed. The cooling device includes an inlet conduit, a first cold plate, a connecting conduit, a second cold plate, an outlet conduit, and a heat conductor. Coolant flows through the inlet conduit. The first cold plate has a first inlet surface and a first outlet surface. The inlet conduit is coupled to the first inlet surface. The inlet conduit transfers the coolant into the first cold plate.     Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to active cooling devices for cooling an electronic assembly positioned downstream in a computing system. In one embodiment, an electronic assembly positioned downstream of the computing system is disclosed. The electronic assembly includes a printed circuit board electrically connected to the computing system; an air duct disposed over the printed circuit board; and an active cooling device thermally coupled to the printed circuit board. The printed circuit board includes a transceiver socket configured to receive at least one optical transceiver and one or more heat-generating components disposed thereon. The at least one optical transceiver is configured to mate with an active optical cable.

    Abstract: A field-replaceable unit (FRU) identification circuit includes a reference voltage source, a reference resistor, a plurality of comparators, and a plurality of comparator input voltage sources. The reference voltage source provides a reference voltage. A first end of the reference resistor is electrically connected to the reference voltage source. Each comparator has two inputs and an output. A first input of each comparator is electrically connected to a second end of the reference resistor. The comparator input voltage sources each provide a comparator input voltage to the second input of one of the comparators. When an FRU is electrically connected to a circuit board where the FRU identification circuit is located, the outputs of the comparators are set to a distinct combination of logical values that uniquely identifies the FRU.

    Abstract: A cold plate for cooling a heat-generating component in a computer system is disclosed. The cold plate includes a lid member with a lower supply manifold housing and a lower collection manifold housing. The cold plate includes a base member having coolant channels defined by fins. Each of the fins have a top section and a bottom section attached to the base member. An interior cavity is defined by an arc-shaped section of the fins, the interior surface of the base, and the lower supply manifold housing. An interior corner is formed by the lower supply manifold housing of the lower manifold housing at the top of the fins to trap debris. An upper inlet manifold has a connector to receive coolant. An upper outlet manifold has a connector to circulate coolant. The upper manifolds are in fluid communication with the collection manifold housings.

    Abstract: A chassis for a computing device includes a base component and a top cover. The base component includes guide slots therein. The top cover includes stamped protrusions extending from one or more side slider structures. The slider structurers extend downwardly from a top surface of the top cover. The stamped protrusions are unitary one-piece structures with the one or more side slider structures. The stamped protrusions correspond to respective guide slots of the base component such that the stamped protrusions are positioned in corresponding guide slots when the base component and the top cover are in a mating position.

    Abstract: A system includes a first printed circuit board (PCB), a temperature sensor, a switching circuit provided on the first PCB, and a controller. The temperature sensor is configured to measure temperature of at least an area of the first PCB. The controller is configured to trigger the switching circuit to turn off power to the first PCB, based at least in part on the temperature sensor detecting a temperature above a temperature threshold. The system is able to disrupt power much faster than conventional methods of power protection which may have a blind spot to certain areas of the first PCB, since these methods rely on power disruption when a maximum power is sensed.
