    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for removing NMEDA from a mixture comprising water (H2O), ethylenediamine (EDA) and N-methylethylenediamine (NMEDA) by a rectification in a rectification column (NMEDA removal), wherein the rectification is conducted at a bottom temperature TB of 155° C. or less and the mixture comprises at least the amount of water as required for the formation of a high-boiling azeotrope of EDA and water at the corresponding bottom temperature.

    Abstract: Lubricant compositions comprising a base oil, one or more antioxidants selected from a group consisting of N-α-naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants and diphenylamine antioxidants; and a sulfur-containing additive comprising up to seven carbon atoms exhibit outstanding oxidative stability and non-corrosion properties. The N-α-naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants plus diphenylamine antioxidants in total may be present from about 0.2 wt % to about 0.8 wt %, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition. The sulfur provided by the sulfur-containing additive may be present from about 50 ppm to about 1000 ppm by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are asphalt compositions. In some embodiments, the asphalt compositions can include asphalt, a polymer, and a basic salt such as aluminum sulfate. In some embodiments, the asphalt compositions can include asphalt, a polymer, and an inorganic acid such as phosphoric acid. The asphalt compositions can include asphalt in an amount of from 50 wt % to 99.9 wt %, based on the weight of the asphalt composition. In some embodiments, the asphalt compositions can include a styrene-butadiene copolymer in an amount of from 0.05 wt % to 10 wt %, based on the weight of the asphalt composition. The basic salt can be present in an amount of from 0.01 wt % to 5 wt %, based on the weight of the asphalt compositions. The acid can be present in an amount of from 0.005 wt % to 0.1 wt %, based on the weight of the asphalt compositions. Methods of making and using the asphalt compositions are also disclosed.
