Abstract: Lubricant compositions comprising a base oil, one or more antioxidants selected from a group consisting of N-α-naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants and diphenylamine antioxidants; and a sulfur-containing additive comprising up to seven carbon atoms exhibit outstanding oxidative stability and non-corrosion properties. The N-α-naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants plus diphenylamine antioxidants in total may be present from about 0.2 wt % to about 0.8 wt %, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition. The sulfur provided by the sulfur-containing additive may be present from about 50 ppm to about 1000 ppm by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition.

Abstract: A lubricant composition includes a base oil, an alkoxylated amide, an ester, and an anti-wear agent including phosphorus. The alkoxylated amide and ester have general formulas (I) and (II), respectively. The lubricant composition may be further defined as a racing oil composition. Also disclosed is a method for maximizing the effectiveness of a friction modifier in a racing oil composition thus increasing the fuel economy of a racing vehicle. The method includes providing the racing oil composition and lubricating an internal combustion engine of a racing vehicle to increase the fuel economy of the racing vehicle.

Abstract: A lubricant composition is substantially free of water and includes a base oil present in an amount of greater than 85 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the lubricant composition, includes an antioxidant, and includes one or more alkylethercarboxylic acid corrosion inhibitor(s) present in an amount of from 0.01 to 1 weight percent based on a total weight of said lubricant composition. The one or more alkylethercarboxylic acid corrosion inhibitor(s) have the formula; wherein R is a straight or branched chain C6-C18 alkyl group and n is a number of from 0 to 5.

Abstract: A lubricant composition including a base oil and from 0.01 to 10 wt. % of an amine compound based on a total weight of the lubricant composition. The amine compound has the formula R1(R2)NH, where R1 and R2 are each independently straight or branched chain acyclic alkyl groups having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms. The alpha carbon of R1 or R2 is primary if R1 or R2 is an alkyl group having more than one carbon atom respectively. At least 90 wt. % of the amine compound remains unreacted in the lubricant composition based on a total weight of the amine compound prior to any reaction in the lubricant composition.

The N-α-naphthyl-N-phenylamine antioxidants plus diphenylamine antioxidants in total may be present from about 0.2 wt % to about 0.8 wt %, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition. The sulfur provided by the sulfur-containing additive may be present from about 50 ppm to about 1000 ppm by weight, based on the total weight of the lubricant composition.

The additive package comprises a halide seal compatibility additive and a second seal compatibility additive. The disclosure is also directed to a lubricant composition comprising a base oil, a halide seal compatibility additive, and a second seal compatibility additive. The halide seal compatibility and the second seal compatibility additive improves the fluoropolymer seal compatibility of the resultant lubricant composition.
