A method for an HTML document to access local system resources, which receives an HTTP request and judges whether the HTTP request includes a predetermined keyword. A system-resource-accessing portion of the HTTP request is processed when the HTTP request includes the predetermined keyword. Then, the HTTP request is checked whether it contains a Referer field. If the header of the HTTP request includes the Referer field, the HTTP request will be treated as an external request, and the local system resource accessing will be denied even when the HTTP request includes the predetermined keyword.

A handheld electronic device comprises a shiftable pivot structure (230) interconnecting a flip cover (210) to a base (220) of the device. The base has a pivotal accommodation groove (224) and the flip cover has a pivot sleeve (212). The shiftable pivot structure comprises a sliding axle (240) slideably fitted in the pivotal accommodation groove. The shiftable pivot structure is hinged to the pivot sleeve. When the flip cover is closed, the pivot sleeve of the flip cover can be moved to be hidden within the pivotal accommodation groove to get protection and to keep the appearance of the device neat. For communication, the flip cover needs to be opened, which is accomplished by firstly shifting the pivot sleeve and the sliding axle outwardly to a position in which the pivot sleeve protrudes from the pivotal accommodation groove, and then pivoting the flip cover relative to the base to an open position.

A flexible printed circuit board with a metal feeding strip extending outside the flexible printed circuit board is provided. An operating method for an integrated interface of a PDA and a wireless communication system includes the following steps. Firstly, when the wireless communication system starts to operate from a standby mode, a state signal is transmitted from the wireless communication system to the PDA. Then, if the PDA receives the state signal when the PDA is in a sleep state, the PDA is wakened and an input source of an audio element inside the PDA is switched to the wireless communication system. An electromagnetic wave signal is received by a wireless communication element and converted into audio data. Afterwards, the audio data is transmitted from the wireless communication system to the PDA and outputted by the audio element.

An electronic device with switchable user interface and an electronic device with accessible touch operation are provided. The electronic device with switchable user interface includes a display, a touch sensing means, a position detecting module and a processing module. The touch sensing means is used for sensing a touch of an input tool. The position detecting module is used for determining whether or not the touch is generated on a specific area of the touch sensing means. If the touch is generated on the specific area, the position detecting module determines whether the position of the touch is varied. The processing module coupled to the position detecting module is used for activating a user interface on the display if there is a position variation of the touch. Consequently, the convenience of operating the electronic device is improved.

The circuit board includes a signal feed point, and the antenna includes a radiation portion and a feed portion extending externally from the radiation portion. The feed portion is electrically connected to the signal feed point, and the conductive wire is disposed on the circuit board and electrically connected to the ground plane and the signal feed point. The conductive wire is, for example, a printed trace formed on the circuit board.

A handheld electronic device comprising a main body, a stylus and a non-contact sensor is provided. The main body has a containing slot, and the stylus having a sensing region is suitable for being inserted into the containing slot. The non-contact sensor is disposed beside the containing slot. The non-contact sensor outputs a sensing signal for identifying the position of the stylus when the stylus moves in the containing slot and the sensing region of the stylus passes the non-contact sensor. By detecting the position of the stylus in a non-contact manner, the reliability and the lifetime of the handheld electronic device are improved, and a higher sensing precision is also provided.
