Abstract:
A grass sports ground is produced by mixing man-made vitreous fibres into soil having relatively high loam levels at a rate in the range 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts soil (dry weight), preferably in the presence of moisture to separate the fibres and distribute them among soil particles, and then growing grass. The soil/fibre mixture has desirable moisture management properties as well as good mechanical characteristics providing extended use characteristics even in cold, wet or hot and dry conditions.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a prefabricated module for a pitched roof element comprising a frame made of at least two first beams being arranged in a distance and running parallel to each other and two second beams running rectangular to the first beams and being connected to the ends of the first beams forming a compartment into which a first layer of an insulation is inserted and a pitched roof element for a building roof made of at least two modules, each comprising a frame made of at least first beams being arranged in a distance and running parallel to each other and two second beams running rectangular to the first beams and being connected to the ends of the first beams forming a compartment into which a first layer of an insulation is inserted.
Abstract:
A method of producing a sandwich panel core of mineral wool fibers from a cured mineral fiber product includes the steps of providing a cured mineral fiber product with a dual density having a top layer with mineral fibers with a first density and a base layer having mineral fibers with a second density, the second density is at least two times lower than said first density. The top layer and the base layer have different fiber orientations. Further steps including cutting the mineral fiber product into a plurality of lamellae, rotating the lamellae 90 degrees, and re-joining the lamellae so that the top layers with the first density are vertically oriented.
Abstract:
A high-strength grid member is provided that comprises two standard Tee-shaped grid members that are vertically aligned to form an I-beam configuration with the strengthening bulbs of each being spaced apart. A plurality of clips is secured to the spaced-apart bulbs by means of fasteners to secure the two grid members together.
Abstract:
A packing and/or transport unit comprising several insulation elements for flat roof insulation, wherein each insulation element has four side faces being arranged rectangular to each other, a lower surface and an upper surface, the lower and upper surfaces being connected to the side faces and being arranged spaced apart and non-parallel to each other. The insulation elements are arranged in layers in at least one stack on at least one support means being arranged under the stack, which support means comprises at least two carrying feet arranged for resting on a support surface. The stack comprises an uneven number of layers of insulation elements, and the packing and/or transport unit comprises at least one leveling means ensuring that a top plane of the packing and/or transport unit is arranged substantially parallel to the support surface.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method of making a mineral melt, the method comprising the steps of providing a circulating combustion chamber (1); injecting fuel, preheated mineral material and combustion gas into the circulating combustion chamber (1); combusting the fuel in the circulating combustion chamber (1) thereby melting the mineral material to form a mineral melt and generating exhaust gases; separating the exhaust gases from the mineral melt, collecting the mineral melt (9) and passing the exhaust gases (10) to a heat exchange system, the method being characterised in that the mineral material comprises a first mineral material and a second mineral material wherein the first mineral material has a higher sintering temperature than the second mineral material and the first and second mineral materials are provided separately to the heat exchange system, wherein the first mineral material is preheated through contact with the exhaust gases and subsequently the second mineral material is preheated through contact with the exhaust gases and the preheated first mineral material.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for detecting curing and/or the local distribution of curing of the binder material, in particular for detection of anomalies of the cured binder, in a mineral fiber product. The present invention also relates to a reagent, in particular for use in such a method and the use of this reagent in the quality control of bonded mineral fiber products.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a window mounting system comprising: a building facade having an interior face and an exterior face and comprising a window opening; and a window mounting collar formed from rigid thermal insulating material, the mounting collar having at least one inside face, at least one outside face, a first open end and a second open end; wherein the window mounting collar is affixed to the exterior face of the building facade so as to surround the window opening and extend outwards from the exterior face of the facade, such that the first end of the mounting collar is proximal to the building facade and the second end of the mounting collar is distal from the building facade; wherein the system further comprises a window frame arranged in the mounting collar such that the window frame is separated from the plane of the exterior face of the building facade by at least 10 mm.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of making a particulate material comprising; providing mineral wool base material in a form having size at least 80% not more than 40 mm, subjecting the mineral wool base material to sintering by use of a pulse combustor and thereby forming a particulate material in the form of particles having size at least 80% not more than 20 mm. An apparatus for carrying out the method comprises means for size reduction of coherent mineral wool substrate and a reaction chamber in communication with a pulse combustor.
Abstract:
A clip is provided for securing a cross tee to a main runner in a suspended ceiling grid system. The clip comprises a first leg configured to extend through the slot in the web of the main runner so as to lie alongside the web of a cross tee whose connector extends through the slot in a direction opposite to that of the first leg; a second leg extending generally perpendicularly to the first leg so as to lie alongside the web of the main runner; and a third leg extending generally perpendicularly to the second leg and generally parallel to the first leg. The third leg is sized to extend through an aperture in the web of the main runner and then be bent to lie alongside the web of the main runner on a side opposite to that of the second leg.
