    Abstract: A peritoneal dialysis (“PD”) system includes a housing; a PD fluid pump housed by the housing; a dual lumen patient line extending from the housing, the dual lumen patient line including a fill lumen and a return lumen; a PD fluid fill line in fluid communication with the fill lumen and an outlet of the PD fluid pump; a PD fluid return line in fluid communication with the return lumen and an inlet of the PD fluid pump; a fill pressure sensor configured to detect PD fluid pressure along the PD fluid fill line; a return pressure sensor configured to detect PD fluid pressure along the PD fluid return line; and a control unit configured to use outputs from the fill and return pressure sensors to determine if one of the fill lumen or the return lumen of the dual lumen patient line is occluded.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a new and innovative method and system for flow rate compensation in devices, such as medical devices and other electronic devices. In various embodiments, a computer-implemented method includes dispensing, by a pump controlled by a controller, a fluid from a fluid supply in a pulse mode over a period by determining a pulse volume for a pulse, determining a pulse cycle time, and for the period: controlling the position of the pump to perform a delay and perform a pulse to dispense an amount of the fluid, the pulse performed for the pulse cycle time, calculating an overshoot or undershoot of the amount of the fluid dispensed relative to the pulse volume, adjusting the pulse cycle time based on the calculated overshoot or undershoot, and repeating the dispensing until the period has elapsed.

    Abstract: A medical fluid therapy system having a multi-state alarm feature is disclosed. An example medical fluid therapy system includes a pumping apparatus configured to pump a medical fluid from a fluid container. The example system also includes a processor configured to generate a first alarm signal associated with a first low level event of the medical fluid in the fluid container, generate a second alarm signal associated with a second low level event of the medical fluid in the fluid container, and receive an activation of a snooze element for deactivating the first alarm signal after the first low level event has occurred and enabling the second alarm signal to be activated upon occurrence of the second low level event. The system further includes a server configured to receive and route at least one of the first alarm signal or the second alarm signal for display at a user device.

    Abstract: A medical fluid delivery system and apparatus for remote machine updating and control are disclosed. An example medical fluid delivery apparatus includes a processor and a dialysis fluid circuit including at least one dialysis fluid pump. The processor is configured to receive a disinfection input to begin a disinfection procedure and cause the at least one dialysis fluid pump to perform a disinfection procedure on the dialysis fluid circuit using a disinfection fluid. The processor is also configured to, after the disinfection procedure is complete, start a disinfection timer. When a dialysis input is received before the disinfection timer reaches zero, the processor enables a dialysis treatment to be performed. When the disinfection timer reaches zero before the dialysis input is received, the processor prevents the dialysis treatment from being performed until the disinfection procedure is performed again.
