摘要: Junction assemblies for joining intravenous (IV) devices to tubing are provided. A junction assembly includes a component connector and a shaped memory polymer (SMP) member formed of a shape changing material. The junction assembly allows movement of the tube along the component connector when the SMP member is in an expanded state and the junction assembly retains the tube securely against the component connector when the SMP member is in a contracted state. The shape changing material changes to one of the expanded state and the contracted state upon being subjected to an external stimuli. Methods of assembling junction assemblies are also provided.

摘要: A multi-tubing intravenous (IV) extension set may include an outlet tubing fluidly coupled to a primary multi-tubing connector at one end and fluidly coupled to a vascular device at an opposite end, and a primary inlet tubing having a proximal end with an adapter for connection to a syringe containing a priming or a medicinal fluid, and a distal end coupled to the primary multi-tubing connector. The IV extension set may further include at least one secondary inlet tubing with a proximal end having an adapter for receiving a medicinal fluid and a distal end selectively fluidly coupled to the primary multi-tubing connector. A slide clamp may be positioned on the outlet tubing to restrict flow between the proximal and distal ends of the outlet tubing and cause priming fluid flowing into the outlet tubing via the multi-tubing connector to reverse direction into the at least one secondary inlet tubing.

摘要: A flow restriction device may include a housing with first and second end portions forming respective first and second openings, and a cavity configured to receive an insert body defining a fluid passage that extends from a first opening of the housing at the first end portion to a second opening of the housing at the second end portion, where the fluid passage extends in more than one direction along a path between the first and second end portions of the housing to induce a resistance to a fluid flow moving through the device, thereby reducing a flow rate and pressure of the fluid, and where the fluid is blood, reduce the hemolysis index of the blood.

摘要: IV filters are described herein. An IV filter includes a body, a filter media, and a bulb. The body defines a body volume. The filter media is disposed within the body volume. The filter media defines an inlet portion of the body volume and an outlet portion of the body volume. The filter media permits inlet flow from the inlet portion of the body volume to the outlet portion of the body volume and captures particulate from the inlet flow. The bulb defines a bulb volume in fluid communication with the outlet portion of the body volume. The bulb is deformable to compress the bulb volume and direct back flow from the outlet portion of the body volume through the filter media and into the inlet portion of the body volume, displacing particulate captured in the filter media into the inlet portion of the body volume.

摘要: An IV set includes an IV component and a duration monitor device coupled to the IV component. The duration monitor device may include an indicator portion configured to change color after a determined amount of time upon activation of the indicator portion, or an RFID tag configured to be detected by an RFID reader. The duration monitor is configured to provide an indication of passage of a useful-life time period for the IV set or the IV component. Methods of operating a duration monitor device are also provided.

摘要: Fluid connector systems including first and second valve assemblies couplable together to form a fluid pathway therethrough, and can resist fluid flow through the connector system when the valve assemblies are separated from each other, the first valve assembly including a post forming a fluid passage, and the second valve assembly including a valve plug positioned within a bore and configured to obstruct a fluid passage, such that when the valve assemblies are separated, a slit of the valve plug resist fluid flow therethrough, and when the valve assemblies are coupled together the post extends through the compressible valve and engagement of a ridge of the valve plug against the post resist fluid flow between the post and the ridge.

摘要: The subject matter disclosed herein provides methods for distributing notifications to a user. The method can include receiving data encapsulating notifications from a device connected to a network that provide information relating to the device's status. The device can provide a health related treatment. The method can associate each notification with one or more notification categories relating to a function performed by the device or a location of the device. A table of users having one or more subscriptions to these notification categories can be accessed. The subscriptions can be automatically assigned to users based on the users' role. A user can be identified from the table to distribute the one or more notifications to. The user can have a subscription that matches a notification category of the received notifications, and data comprising the notifications can be distributed to the user. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.
