Abstract:
A clamping device in which the clamping forces are exerted by clamping screws through the medium of deflecting members. The measurement of these forces being effected by measuring the deflection of said members. For achieving a uniform clamping, a first beam which is capable of pivoting about one of its edges and another beam which can pivot with respect to the other edge of the first beam are interposed between the deflecting members and the part which is clamped.
Abstract:
A distance measuring system comprising means for transmitting a sinusoidal wave or a sinusoidally modulated wave and receiving the same after reflection on a target and means for converting the phase shift, due to the propagation of this wave out and back, into a measuring signal the frequency of which is proportional to the travelling distance of said wave.
Abstract:
In a moving side-looking coherent detection system, wherein the transmitted pulses are linearly frequency modulated, the echoes are submitted to a compression which is a function of the range of the target from which they originate, and by means of which the recording of the echoes on a photographic film displaced at a speed proportional to that of the system, supplies, for each echo, a pattern similar to that of a Newton ring; the observation of that pattern with a coherent and plane luminous wave and an appropriate conventional optical system allows the direct vision of the position of the target.
Abstract:
A cooling device for electron tubes, exploiting the vaporization of a liquid contained in sealed tanks, surrounding the tube anode. The vaporization of the liquid is controlled by a valve associated with the tanks. The blowoff pressure of this valve is equal to the vaporization pressure at the selected temperature of operation.
Abstract:
A TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER STATION FOR A TWO-WAY SYNCHRONOUS CODED LINK ARE PROVIDED. IT COMPRISES A KEY GENERATOR CONNECTED TO A DECODING AND CODING ARRANGEMENT. A FIRST CLOCK CONTROLS THE KEY GENERATOR WITH A PREDETERMINED PHASE VALUE DURING THE RECEPTION AND A SECOND CLOCK CONTROLS THE KEY GENERATOR WITH ANOTHER PREDETERMINED PHASE VALUE DURING THE TRANSMISSION. FIRST MEANS ARE PROVIDED, WHEN THE STATION SWITCHES FROM TRANSMISSION TO RECEPTION, FOR STOPPING THE KEY GENERATOR, WHICH WAS IN SYNCHRONISM WITH THE FIRST CLOCK, DURING THE TIME NECESSARY FOR BRINGING IT IN PHASE WITH THE SECOND CLOCK, SECOND MEANS ARE PROVIDED FOR ACCELERATING, WHEN THE STATION SWITCHES FROM RECEPTION TO TRANSMISSION, THE KEY GENERATOR, WHICH WAS IN PHASE WITH SAID SECOND CLOCK, DURING THE TIME NECESSARY FOR BRINGING IT IN PHASE WITH SAID FIRST CLOCK.
