Abstract: A method for high-resolution timing measurement includes a first oscillator generating a first clock with a first frequency. A second oscillator generates a second clock with a second frequency. A delay pulse generator generates a delayed pulse from the second clock. An oscillator tuner controls the second frequency to be as close as possible to the first frequency without being the same as the first frequency. A sampling module samples the delayed pulse at the first frequency. A counter generates a digital counter value by counting a number of samples made by the sampling module.

Abstract: A dismounting jig adapted for removing a metal shield which is coupled with a lens module and has two projections at two opposite sides thereof. The dismounting jig has a main body and two clutching arms. Each of the clutching arms has a fixing plate and a holding portion connected with the fixing plate. A lower portion of the holding portion has a buckling slice protruded inward. Two opposite sides of the holding portion extend perpendicularly to form a pair of opposite stabilizing wings locating at a same side as the buckling slice with respect to the holding portion. The clutching arms are symmetrically mounted on the main body by the fixing plates thereof fixed on two opposite sides of the main body. A receiving space is formed among the two pairs of the stabilizing wings and the holding portions.

Abstract: A clutching jig is adapted to disassemble a lens module which includes a lens socket and a lens component mounted to the lens socket. The clutching jig includes a base and at least two inserting slices. The base defines two opposite lateral surfaces and a bottom surface. A slot passes through the opposite lateral surfaces and the bottom surface to divide the base into a first holding portion and a second holding portion. The bottom surface has a receiving recess at a portion thereof. The inserting slices are removably mounted to the opposite lateral surfaces and beyond the bottom surface. Wherein the inserting slices are inserted between the lens component and the lens socket, and the receiving recess receives the lens component with a circumferential dimension thereof lessened to clutch the lens component when the first holding portion and the second holding portion are urged to approach each other.

The housing has a first side wall and a second side wall, the first and second side walls define a first inserting slot and a second inserting slot, respectively. The circuit board is mounted in the housing and defines a plurality of contact terminals. The cover is supported on the side walls and defines a plurality of locating grooves. The ground element is mounted to the housing and has an elastic cantilever arm, one end of the ground element opposite to a free end of the cantilever arm passes through the first inserting slot firstly and then the second inserting slot, the cantilever arm enters into an inside of the housing from the first inserting slot and then springs up to make the free end thereof blocked by the first side wall.

Abstract: Carrier pre-assignment is applied in multi-carrier handover operation to mitigate the impact to the user experience during handover and to achieve various objectives of call admission control in wireless multi-carrier OFDM networks. With carrier pre-assignment, a mobile station communicates its multi-carrier information to a target base station. The target base station pre-assigns secondary carriers to fulfill the requirements of the mobile station. In a first embodiment, a break-before-entry (BBE) multi-carrier handover procedure with carrier pre-assignment is provided. In a second embodiment, an entry-before-break (EBB) multi-carrier handover procedures for both inter-FA and intra-FA with carrier pre-assignment are provided. The multi-carrier handover procedures with carrier pre-assignment may be applied to 2-to-2 or N-to-N carriers handover situation. Because target secondary carriers are pre-assigned before handoff, the mobile station is ready for data transmission over multiple carriers after handover without additional carrier assignment procedure.

Abstract: A fast feedback mechanism is provided in a contention-based data transmission procedure. A Subscriber Station (SS) transmits a data burst to a base station (BS) using a selected data grant in a previous uplink (UL) frame. The SS also starts a timer associated with the data transmission. The data grant is selected from a plurality of data grants granted by the BS for contention-based access. In response to all received data grants in the previous UL frame, the BS broadcasts an acknowledgement (ACK) in a subsequent downlink (DL) frame. The ACK comprises a reception status message that indicates the detection result of the data grants. With the novel fast feedback mechanism, when data collision occurs, upon receiving the detection result indicator, the SS proceeds by retransmitting data without continuing wait for the entire timeout period. As a result, the total latency due to the data collision is reduced.

Abstract: A card connector is disclosed that includes an insulating housing and a plurality of contacts. The insulating housing defines a plurality of contact slots. Each of the contact slots extends outwardly and laterally from two opposite side edges thereof to form two resisting protrusions respectively, wherein each of the resisting protrusions forms a resisting surface extending obliquely and inwardly from one side thereof. The contacts are respectively received in the contact slots of the insulating housing. Each of the contacts has a contact portion protruding upwardly for being pressed by a card and the contact portion is connected with a bearing portion resisting against the resisting surface for preventing the contact portion from flipping upwardly out of the insulating housing.
